What wrapping paper did you like this year?

What paper did you get that you were disappointed in the quality of?

I wrap for myself but also for 2 other family members that struggle to wrap.

Gingerbread themed set from Next and wasn’t impressed with it at all. Quite thin and didn’t look half as nice in real life as it did online. The tags weren’t any better. Also bought some red Santa paper from Next and that was great quality.

Had 2 different rolls of extra wide paper from Sainsbury’s and was happy with that for the price.

Going to try and use Kraft paper for mine next year if anyone has any recommendations?

Recyclable wrap. Also bought some paper recyclable tape so I didn't have to spend ages picking the tape off when they'd gone home and it could all go in the recycling bin.

Sophie allport stuff was brilliant, really thick. Tesco own brown stuff was hs less and needed lots of layers.

I buy bags - and tissue paper - in bulk.

No wrapping except for rolled or scrunched in tissue.

We reuse between us every year.

Colour coordinated for each person, so no labels.

I bought two rolls of wrapping paper from B&M. It was beautiful, inexpensive and everyone admired it. The rolls were very long so I didn't need to use any other paper. I will buy paper from there again.

I was really pleasantly surprised by the ikea rolls I bought on a whim. The labels I bought to go with them were so tiny as to be useless though.

Bags are the way forward - for anything that doesn't fit aldi wrapping paper was spot on

The paper from Sostrene Grene is always good and thick, but there's no cutting grid on the back which I like.

I got 3 rolls for £5 in sainsbury's and was very impressed with it once I'd got the packaging stickers off, I've put in my notes for xmas 2024 to get it from there again.

I got the brown paper with gingerbread print on and put red and white twine around the wrapped gifts and put some bells on when tying the gift label on. Very effective look - so the recipients told me.

Had left over Clinton's paper from a couple of years ago. Proper thick papery paper. With a grid marking on the inside. Folded making crisp corners and edges. Lovely.

Costco double sided. We buy one roll a year and have several now. They’re huge and last for ages.

Habitat paper from Sainsbury's. Was really good, dark green craft paper and white and green with holly on. Would buy again

I got some from next. £7 a roll! But long rolls and 3 for 2 and they were quite good

I bought from The Range this year & all bar one, thick brown paper type one, were really thin & disappointing.

Mine were Hallmark, 3 for 2, and have probably still got enough to do for next year too! Quality was good.

Usually buy from M&S for the quality of it (hate crappy, thin paper that rips as soon as you use it!) but their designs were just so boring!

Tk maxx was the best - nice quality and folded well, plus had a cutting grid on the back. I only bought for stocking presents - main presents were wrapped in Sainsbury’s paper which was rubbish in comparison!

I bought a roll of brown patterned paper from a new discount shop, One Beyond. Quite thick with a grid on the back. I'll be going back next year.

I'm going to second TK Maxx. I think it's an American brand and the rolls are huge and fantastic quality.

Oh and I was disappointed with matalan wrap

We had Poundland paper - it looked OK but the quality was awful - after wrapping our gifts we put them all in a large bag and the mere act of transferring them caused some of the paper to rip meaning it had to be patched up.

You get what you pay for, I guess.

Oh and I used a ginger ray set from last year which was amazing quality but far less versatile due to the size of the sheets

Aldi brown patterned paper. Recyclable and great quality. I think it was £1 a roll.

We use fabric wrapping and reuse it every year.

Another vote for the costcos double sided wrapping paper. I get a roll every year and it's brilliant and always have some left over as there is so much of it for the following year to give more options.

Primark paper. Not great quality, but had Baby Yoda in a Santa hat on it, and it did the job perfectly adequately.
