I need to -

Wrap all the gifts apart from four 🙄 thankfully not loads.

Ice/decorate Christmas cakes

Find a gift for my dad - not a clue there 🤷‍♀️

Wrap dd2's birthday gifts & book piercing for that

Need to finish work first though - I am knackered & crawling to the end of term <BIG YAWN> & found out today I'm expected in for training days - why no-one's mentioned this in 2 years I do not know but I've never been in for them since taking the position 🙄

Tonight's job is clean my fridge ready for the BIG SHOP arriving tomorrow evening.

How about you?

@StiffyByngsDogBartholomew
You're welcome

freshgreen · 19/12/2023 21:45

Just waiting for the last few gifts to arrive tomorrow then will wrap them.
Think I'm done then and can enjoy the next week or so.
Except for the cooking which I like doing.
Bottled the damson gin that I had made in September today, it's delicious.
First year ever that I'm relaxed.

Lunamoon23 · 19/12/2023 21:53

Work another 4 shifts
Wrap several presents
Do food shop for Boxing Day and so forth..
Visit dad Xmas eve after work ...

Try to find the will to enjoy myself on Christmas Day when I'm on my ass exhausted from work. Two days jam packed with family etc and then back to work Grin

DanceMumTaxi · 19/12/2023 22:01

Bloody loads, and I can’t find chocolate oranges anywhere! Where are they all???? And what abomination is the new mint one!

ChristmasIsComing2023 · 19/12/2023 22:03

I have to:
Wrap 5 more presents
Write 4 more cards
Deliver a card tomorrow
Put the cookies I’ve just made into gift boxes to give to my toddlers toddler class teachers tomorrow
Drop off cards and presents for my grandma at my parents house tomorrow
Pick up the Leapfrog Ice Cream Cart for ds that I’ve left at my parents house and figure out where it’s going to live here until Christmas Day
Get a drink for ds’s Christmas Eve Box
Buy some nice ham/cold stuff for the buffet we’re having on Christmas Day
Put all the stocking presents into ds and dp’s stockings on Christmas Eve 😁

I think that’s it… 🤞

*Need to wrap Dh and Gd presents. (Àll the rest are wrapped, I did 2 gift drop offs for family members this morning that we won't see over christmas)

  • pick up m&s food order sat after work (I've 4 shifts left) *pick up sainsburys food order sun morning *write a list of the few fresh food bits that I'm missing *minimal house work top ups/change sheets ( I did I big deep clean on sat and tues) *charge up rechargeable batteries I've bought for gifts and charge all the ones in the various decorations around the house *visit fenwicks christmas window with dgd. Planning on doing that christmas eve afternoon.
riotlady · 19/12/2023 22:13

I need to
-Wrap all the presents (and hide them- probably at my mums house!)
-Clean the house
-Buy housewarming gift for friend
-Buy whisky for DH
-Buy presents for my aunts
-Make Christmas biscuits with DD
-Dye my hair

I’m on mat leave so no work, should be quite a relaxed few days- my efficiency is slightly hindered by the baby but I don’t really mind!

AutumnBride · 20/12/2023 08:13

3 presents to wrap today and a 4th arriving tomorrow.
1 present to put together and wrap Christmas Eve.
Food shopping coming Christmas Eve but order needs completing by tomorrow night..
House will need a clean through but nothing drastic.

3 more days at work.

Hibernatalie · 20/12/2023 16:13

I think I'm done. DH has some wrapping to do and we need to buy a cinema voucher.
Big food delivery comes on Saturday - fridge and cupboards are pretty much ready. Also need to pick up a food collection on Saturday and my DC's new bikes from my parent's house. Aside from that, just enjoying the festivities!

@velvetoptions Newcastle Fenwicks.

not worth the trip unless passing!

captaincalamari12 · 20/12/2023 16:42

Finish wrapping
Buy the Christmas deserts
Do a none Christmas food shop for Christmas Eve/Boxing Day
Deliver presents

MrsDilligaf · 20/12/2023 17:01

I'm done apart from the cleaning. DD has announced that she will be helping me. I think it's a last ditch attempt to make sure she's on the nice list.

Frankly it will be easier and far less stressful to do it by myself.

bluedelphiniums · 20/12/2023 17:06

Fellow teacher here, who doesn't break up til Friday aarghhh...
Big food shop
Wrap all presents including 4 stockings
Clean house
Stack logs which have just been delivered
Make up beds
Decide what to buy daughter
Finish decorating house

So pretty much everything still to do tbh - and I am feeling stressed!

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 20/12/2023 17:11

A very few presents still to wrap.
Lots of cards to BlueTack to various painted surfaces.
Two big pieces of gammon to cook on the 23rd, one for us, one to take to dd.
Make a couple of dozen mince pies.
Make brandy butter.
Make a list of everything I’ve got to take to DD’s, otherwise I’ll forget something vital.

SnowflakeSparkles · 20/12/2023 17:21

I have buried my head in the sand and have come to the Christmas board here seeking motivation and inspiration.

I am usually miles ahead but I haven’t wrapped a single thing this year. Cost of living crisis means there is a lot less to wrap at least.

I hope I will feel more Christmassy and organised after tomorrow when I start wrapping and then go food shopping on Saturday. Usually I get weeks of Christmas excitement but it’s just passed me by so far this year!

SnowflakeSparkles · 20/12/2023 17:24

But essentially to answer the question I have all wrapping to do, DP to buy for, few more presents for the kids to buy, lots of dinner prep (am cooking but not hosting thank goodness) on Christmas Eve.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/12/2023 20:44

Finished work today till next Wednesday .

3 of DD presents to wrap (books and a showergel so I;ll do that tomorrow)

Make marzipan ( sooo much nicer than bought ) for the cake which will probably need another dose of Amarretto , then ice it and start eating on Christmas Eve .

Make Chocolate Chip Cookies and freeze half the dough

Clean the oven (overnight)

Wash everyones bedding for Christmas Eve .

Food shop tomorrow , going in early . Play Food Jemga in the fridge

London trip on Friday Xmas Grin see the Lights .

Steam clean the kitchen /toilet/bathroom floors

Harass my DS to clean his pit of a room (good luck with that one !)

lucysmam · 21/12/2023 20:33

Unexpectedly, I now have tomorrow off as the training isn't relevant to me at all & will be over Teams.I still have one bag to wrap which I plan to wrap as soon as dd1 gets in the shower <hurry up>, my dad's cake to ice, and birthday gifts to wrap for the 28th (they can be done on 27th if needs be).Plan for tomorrow now is town to have my eyebrows threaded and Costa with dd1. Other than that, we will steadily mooch our way to Christmas day, here 😊
