How far off being done is everyone…

Is the list getting smaller, in terms of shopping, wrapping, organising…

I would say I feel like I’m getting somewhere now, a few last presents for family to order, my last DD’s (I have 3) to wrap, which I was hoping to do before school broke up but not looking likely now…

I need to book cinema and ice skating, complete Sainsburys food shop and of course the big pointless house clean…😅

How is everyone else doing?

All presents are done, and the base of the gravy is in the freezer. We're doing an early run to M&S on Saturday morning; there isn't one near us so it's a very occasional treat and the four of us will enjoy it. Then I'll pick up the rest of dinner from Aldi and we're good to go.

Oh, and we're buying a tree tomorrow on the school run.

I have nearly everything to do.
So this evening I have just nodded off on the sofa (not enough sleep) and am going out for a run (refuse to let Xmas prep get in the way of the exercise I love).
Then I'll spend ages on Amazon thinking I'll get stuff in an actual shop (Saturday?) then go to bed.
Everything will get done, I am very productive when I'm on a dead line.
DS1 (adult) is back for a week on Sunday so can give me a hand with food lists and decorating.

What? That's only the food to order in advance isn't it? Turkeys etc?
We can still fill our online trolley until night before collection, can't we?

My list is getting smaller and apart from money and vouchers that need sorting I'm done. I need to wrap a couple of presents but... I can feel The Twitch starting! I won't give in though everyone has more than enough but all of a sudden I feel panicky

It’s all the festive food stuff. So deserts, party food etc. Didn’t really look at the dinner stuff as I’m sorted for that.

But yes, can add stuff until the night before.

Haven't even started. Can't get going. Haven't even got decorations out of the loft yet.

There's plenty of party/buffet food - they haven't sold out of festive food, just the stuff you might want to order (fancy platters for larger numbers of guests and the like).
I've never ordered food in this way, but you (and Tesco) had me worried!

Finished just need to wrap everything up.

Have barely started. Moving house tomorrow which has been a nightmare!

I had done almost nothing this time last week.

Went Christmas shopping on Saturday with DH, got presents for extended family, bought the tree, Christmas pud, Christmas cake.

Bought a few more presents and wrapping paper in my lunch hour today, and spent a couple of hours wrapping this evening.

Need to get very specific and hard to find sweets for dc stocking that I stupidly started getting years ago, and now have to scramble round trying to find every year.

Still haven’t thought about Christmas dinner, haven’t ordered anything this year, hoping to just pick something up in the supermarket.

Snack food bought (and eaten) 3 times…. Not buying more til the end of next week!

I've sacked it off and taking my family away to the countryside and it's pretty liberating :-) Taking a couple of small presents but this year will not be about "stuff" for us. I feel it's got a bit obscene the amount being spent in my wider family, I kind of want to get away from all that and enjoy my people instead this year 🥰

Have bought presents and did the wrapping today. I'm having a minimal Christmas this year and trying not to over buy. The shops are only closed for a couple of days - anything we run out of, I'll get in the post Christmas lull!
Still need to buy some food but I did get a turkey and stuck it in the freezer and have lebkuchen, so I'm all good .
Trying not to get all frazzled this year.

I just have to pick up a Lindt teddy for dd stocking and waiting to see if shoes my mum likes go down in price in the next 4 days, otherwise it will be money in a card to put towards them when they do finally go on sale. And I have nothing else…

I have finished shopping for gifts and most food the only thing I still need but can't get till a day or two before is a bag of potatoes 🥔 for the roasties and some veg 🥕 feeling pretty pleased with myself 🤣

Think I’m pretty much done just bits of wrapping to do which I’ll do soon’

I've just got a couple of stocking presents to get for the boys. I have a couple of presents I need to wrap and need to do food shop. We all break up by next Wednesday so probably do food shop on the Thursday.

All done, wrapped and under the tree!! 🥳

A few days left.
I have been going slower on purpose the last few days.
If I finish early I can lose some Christmas spirit.
Anyone know how to stop that happening?

Number of presents wrapped = zero.

I still have some presents to buy for family I'm not seeing until 30th.
Honestly, I'm useless. Every year I leave it all so late.
I'll get up tomorrow and go for a run in the name of feeling invigorated to get wrapping.
I was going to get cracking this evening, but the boys wanted to play a game. So we did that instead.
I'll disappear upstairs late tomorrow (we're going to the cinema and the dinner in the evening), put some tunes on, crack open a Babycham and all will be well.
