How far off being done is everyone…

Is the list getting smaller, in terms of shopping, wrapping, organising…

I would say I feel like I’m getting somewhere now, a few last presents for family to order, my last DD’s (I have 3) to wrap, which I was hoping to do before school broke up but not looking likely now…

I need to book cinema and ice skating, complete Sainsburys food shop and of course the big pointless house clean…😅

How is everyone else doing?

Have reached the ' I am completely overwhelmed and nothing will be ready' stage.
Haven't finished my shopping, wrapping or card writing. House is a pig sty. No food bought. Don't break up until the 22nd. Am exhausted.

But my Facebook memories tell me I get like every year and yet Christmas still happens.

But yeah....not a happy bunny.

I’m just waiting on a couple of final deliveries which should be here by the start of the week at the latest. Final few things to wrap and then just sorting the food shop and not twitch!

No food ordered, that's the bit currently making me nervous!

So far. My Mum died a few months ago so I’m way off the ball. Today is wrap day so I will feel more on top of it after this.

Not yet. Ds is at nursery until 22nd. We have had a longish hospital stay with him so a few weeks out of sync.
Bought a tree at farm on Sunday.
have Ds gifts.
Will just go shopping on 22nd for food (but we aren’t uk as there’s never a major rush here, so normal food shop.
in laws arrive 23nd for 2.5 weeks! Need to get them something for stocking

I’ve done my food order (it’ll arrive on the evening of the 23rd) and I’ve made stuffing and bread sauce. DH has done the decorating but not the tree yet as we do it on my mum’s birthday (19th).

I’ve ordered two gifts for DH and he has ordered some things for the kids. I just need to get their stocking fillers and gifts for my niece and nephew. We don’t have lots of presents to buy as only really buy for the children.

I’m going to make mince pies and sausage rolls at the weekend and then a gingerbread house at some point next week.

I had the kids sorted and wrapped at mid term as I bought a lot of gifts from vinted.. random stuff I couldn’t get elsewhere that he collects so I started buying in august. The other child I am still waiting in delivery (football kits)

nothing for my parents
teachers gifts bought on boots 3 for2

i have a couple of random things I bought (Christmas candles and so on). I need to get the neighbours gifts and get vouchers and send cards

food shop will happen no problem as we have four beside us and no crazy busy even at Christmas if you go at 8 am

Present wise I think I’m done. All have arrived except 5 which are coming in the post. There’s always a last minute buy or two as well but generally speaking, I’m done with that.

Have done a Christmas food shop list which I’ll buy next Friday morning but need to review it and make sure everything is on it. Turkey already ordered though. The DDs love baking so I need to finalise what we’re going to make next week and get the ingredients bought this weekend.

Need to wrap gifts and finish doing cards, although I nipped to Asda this morning after dropping DD at school and picked up the last of the wrapping paper/cards/gift bags. And I also got batteries.

House is decorated, just need to tidy up a few rooms. Did a deep clean of the entire downstairs and the DDs rooms on Tuesday so just need to finish up the rest of the house- probably do a good bit today as I’m off work for the day.

So all things considered I think I’m getting there. A lot to do still but once the presents are wrapped I think I’ll be a lot more relaxed.

@DustyLee123 schools here break up tomorrow, is it next week for you? It’s been a seven week half term so everyone is exhausted. I’m hoping next week will help me feel more festive the constant rain hasn't helped.

Im getting there but feel like I’m going through the motions a bit this year. Plodding on.
Nothing as sad as the people who have lost loved ones but my pet i had for nearly 19 years died a few weeks ago and I miss him.

I was thinking of getting a bauble for the tree or something in memory but I’ve not got myself organised to choose one. The house is very quiet without him.

I did my Ocado order when the Christmas slots were released ages ago so thst I could be sure of getting a delivery and ordered my turkey from the farm last month, but other than that, I haven't done anything yet. My daughter is coming home for a week on the 20th so I may put my tree up early the day before, but I haven't started buying any presents yet - it's still too early for me to get enthusiastic.

Food: mostly done, except the fresh stuff which needs to be sorted closer to the time.

Not done a huge amount but made a trip
to the shops last weekend and put the tree up. Did quite a bit of ordering too so that’s all been delivered over the course of this week.
Will finish off the ordering this weekend, stockings have some things to go in them but will need more bits for those.
Have wrapped everything I’ve bought so far though.
I’m off work from Tuesday next week so loads of time.
Dh has ordered the meat from the butchers and I’ve booked the online slot, we’re hosting a pre Christmas party with Dh’s family next Saturday and then we have my family for Christmas Day so hosting about 50 people in total, we have a large order with majestics!

The tree is not up yet and the house is complete mess, presents nearly bought - just one more for DD, cards not done yet. Food is partially done, but it’s not a big problem.
I’m stressed about the house and the tree.

I'm glad it's not just me. House is a tip, loads of washing. I feel a bit stressed today. I need to get the tree up for the kids at least 😫

I have finished the present buying but still waiting on one or two to arrive in the post.
Need to buy family cards and put the cash inside as all the in laws want money this year 🙄
I’ve sort of planned the menu and I’ve ordered the meat from the butcher.
Nothing is wrapped yet and it’s hidden all over our bedroom so I’m going to dig it all out next week and hope I don’t twitch!

Nearly done after a late start. Only thing is Tesco emailed earlier and said all festive food has to be ordered by tonight so I guess I need to figure out what we will want from their festive range for our shop on 23rd.

Tree up, my family never used to put the tree up till the weekend before

Mince pies made today
Most presents bought, am wrapping later
Freezer cleared for space, stuffing and gravy in freezer buying most of food on Monday.

Transpires DH is off all next week and his Mum arrives on 21st so will be passing him a list of all cleaning jobs, he already knows this.
