This thread title made me think I should make up a 12 days of christmas song for all the main bargains we've got! Thanks@Yalz and @ApiratesaysYarrr for the inspo on the title.

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

@BlackFlyChardonnay maybe some beard care stuff from Gruum? They tend to be good.

Has anyone seen a lidded platter like this one in the wild please? I’m off shopping today and hoping to find something like this to make a little sweet platter but have tried Poundland and B&M so far with no luck so was hoping someone had seen something similar.

Thanks, I'll look online.

@BlackFlyChardonnay
Aldi had one yesterday in the middle aisle

hollymollysmith · 18/12/2023 09:25

Has anyone had the Bridal Beauty mystery box yet and is this one good stuff?

I am all shopped and wrapped, except for one last gift I'm struggling with. Maybe one of you will have an idea...

My sister and her boyfriend are coming for Christmas day. It's a reasonably new relationship and Christmas day will be the first time we meet him. Obviously I need to get him a gift, but the only shreds of information my sister has given is that he has a beard, he likes beer, and he has raynaud's (she told me this in the context of "he struggles this time of year because he works outdoors and has raynaud's so his hands get bad")

I've asked my sister for direct ideas, and get a non committal "I don't know. Anything. Man stuff."

So far, I've got some special compression gloves from the raynauds society website, but want another gift for him to open. Maybe a beer gift set, or beard care gift set. Gah, I don't know.

Any ideas? Less than £20 ideally.

Thanks

Made me think of this. Envy

I suppose this might be more of a post-Christmas bargain request, but our tree lights are quickly failing, so will need new ones next year. Are there any places in particular to keep an eye out for good bargains on lights post-Christmas?

LyraLupin · 18/12/2023 10:29

Edit: sorry tried to quote a post but failed - I mean the footballs best 4 u website

Has anyone used recently?
Have been let down by sports direct who after sending me emails daily that my parcel is with evri have now told me the England kit is out of stock (was 28 pound for age 6/7). Trying to find one somewhere else and either out of stock or out of budget. This site looks great but says standard delivery is 25-40 days but they try and post asap. Anyone had a quick delivery recently? Thankyou!

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 18/12/2023 10:39

@LyraLupin they are copies from overseas somewhere. Not a chance it would be here before christmas

Uksoccershop has it in 6-7 (on their site and amazon). Might be out of budget but depends how much you want it

Have suggested these handwarmers a few times on these threads. Feel.like I should be on commission! But I have Raynauds and love them. Also charge your phone

Of all places, we've got lights from Poundstretcher and they've been great. Pretty sure they're half price from about now too as we bought an extra set a couple of years ago.

VeruccaSalty · 18/12/2023 11:30

Edited

Bought these last week on your recommendation, salty. Haven't tried them yet, but I think they are going to be a lifesaver for DD with Raynauds. They come in such a lovely box, too.

Room4onemore · 18/12/2023 12:00

Has anybody seen offers for some nice things for a 9 month old girl? Thanks

Realfastfoodie · 18/12/2023 12:25

Loads of things in the John Lewis sale @Room4onemore - clothes, wooden toys, soft toys etc. My DC loved the wooden tractor (and trailer and cows) set which is 30% off annd is still playing with it 2 years later! also some lovely baby books in the middle aisle at Aldi when we went.

OneHornedFlyingPurplePeopleEater · 18/12/2023 13:20

I'm still after a velvetiser - can't bring myself to spend so much!!
thought about signing up to their subscription to get it for £50 don't want to commit to £162 worth of hot chocolate over the next year - very pricey gift!!

So I'm at the £70 with their membership thing. Before I go for it has anyone got any referal/discount suggestions, or seen a hamper including the velvetiser (I did see one for £100 but that seems to have vanished).

Room4onemore · 18/12/2023 13:43

Thank you

OneHornedFlyingPurplePeopleEater · 18/12/2023 13:46

Can't believe I missed the hotel chocolat deal - the last specific present I'm looking for. That'll teach me for having a nice Christmassy weekend with the family and not checking my phone 😆

ConsuelaHammock · 18/12/2023 13:58

I can pm you a 10% off student code. Also go through TopCashback or Quidco.

ConsuelaHammock · 18/12/2023 13:59

Unfortunately TCB and quidco exclude the velvetiser

Does anyone know if there are any working discount codes for Fossil?
