This thread title made me think I should make up a 12 days of christmas song for all the main bargains we've got! Thanks@Yalz and @ApiratesaysYarrr for the inspo on the title.

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

ive had the hotel Chocolat cancellation email too. I thought it was rude too. everyone uses codes found on the internet, if the code wasn't supposed to be released then that is their problem. Its aggressive tone was totally uncalled for.

Was it White Stuff who were fairly laid back about the errors on the socks advent calendars?

Hotel Chocolat could do with learning from them. I didn’t need anything from them so didn’t order but that tone just means people won’t use them at all in the future.

I agree. Honouring the orders, like white stuff did would've generated more custom, than they lost with the code

@SnowJamz I agree. White Stuff were very polite and still honoured most orders (mine anyway). I saw it as great publicity and have subsequently ordered from them.

Hi, I’m wondering if anyone can help me find a bargain on Harry Potter butter beer? My son has just decided he’s a Harry Potter fan and really wants a bottle for Xmas. I’ve looked on Amazon and it’s £9.99 for one bottle which seems a bit steep.

Someone posted very early on that it was a staff discount. God knows how many people used that code - with that knowledge. They'd every right to cancel the orders. Staff discounts are a specific staff perk that they clearly can't afford to every potential customer. Maybe one or two would have got away with it but there was clearly a large volume.

How entitled are some people on here. As PP said- you knew it was a staff discount and took advantage with that knowledge. So don't go crying when they cancel. And the email didn't sound rude to me, maybe it's hit a nerve as you know that really you are in the wrong...

If you read the thread, PP have said that the Honey app automatically applied the code. They didn't know it was a staff code.
