9 Yr old Niece doesn't want Barbie's / toys

What on earth do you buy a 9 year old girl these days ? They all seem to be into skincare and toys and Barbie's are out the window. I'm completely at a loss .

I'd buy the exact same things I'd buy a 9yo boy.

Does she have no legs? Why can't you buy her a football?

My son wouldn't have wanted a football at 9 though. Bizarre to think all children (boy or girl) would.

My daughter around that age loves squishmallows and sanrio stuff

DD is 9, nearly 10.
