Normally put mine up around the 4th of December. This year I have a 5 month old and I'm just so excited for her to see the lights that I'm considering putting it up next week!

When will your tree be going up?

Usual timescale is up mid December and down 30/31 December. Hate having it up when Christmas is over and we’re all back at work.

Normally I’d plan to put up 1st December but this year we’ve decided not to have a tree 🙁. We’ll just have other decorations on walls etc. I’m heavily pregnant and we have an energetic toddler so since I’d find it hard to keep him away from the tree we’re just not risking it.

The kids and dad like to wrestle a real tree out of a field. So not for a while yet. 17th December ish.

@00100001 1st Dec but will get the tree 2nd week of Dec when I start to feel in the mood for it.

DS back from Uni on 9th so that week. Real tree and DS has to cut the bottom off once it’s home . It stays outside for 2 days to have a drink and then it will be up until New Years Day.
I love the pretty Christmas lights being up for New Years and welcoming in the start of another year.

About 15th December. We always have a real one and like it not to have dropped most of its needles by Christmas Day!

December. Only year we put it up earlier was in 2020 as we were locked down - it was DDs birthday and very depressing.

The Saturday after my son's birthday. So this year the 16th. I always take it down NYE as my only exciting New Year tradition these days is doing a big clean.
