DustyLee123 · 10/11/2023 13:39

I keep seeing that blue tin of Danish biscuits on TikTok, and how everyone’s Nan keeps buttons and nik-naks in it, and it made me wonder if you can still buy them in the tin ?
Ive looked everywhere I’ve been, but not seen them. Help me out ?

Flying tiger do tins, but they're smaller

Mrsjayy · 10/11/2023 19:19

if you are all heading to Flying Tiger, get the pretzels you will thank me 😀

LemonCurd1 · 10/11/2023 19:28

Costco sell them.

Chersfrozenface · 10/11/2023 19:53

Also at Flying Tiger, at least sometimes, Dutch syrup waffles - the big ones you warm over your mug / cup of tea / coffee and also bags of mini ines.

Ahhh- about to derail- but the Ikea ginger thins, which they only seem to stock at Christmas, are out of this world. They come in a nice red tin as well......... Can I justify a 80 mile round trip to my nearest branch???

Mrsjayy · 10/11/2023 20:42

oh yes I've not been to IKEA all year we went last year to get a new table and I bought ginger thins they are moreish .

I saw some in Tesco last week in the Christmas aisle. I think they were £3.50

HellHound · 10/11/2023 21:03

We used to get them in the Christmas hamper. Mum would pay a couple of pound a week, all year and we would get a hamper full of goodies at Christmas!

Oh my gosh my French teacher used to have these. With PROPER coffee. I have to find some..

DustyLee123 · 10/11/2023 21:16

None in the Tesco’s near me, nor Home Bargains.

Going against the grain but I never liked these biscuits as a child, which was the last time I saw them.

Especially the coconut ones.

Like the first replier I could taste them instantly but also actually hated the taste as a child. I quite want a tin for nostalgia now though. 😂

Yep. Poundland. Though obviously not for a pound. They should really change their name

It could be 'Priceland - where we charge whatever twatting price we feel like'.

Every time I go in there I say I am not going back as they change the prices and loads of items are not marked with the price, makes me so cross!

However I may have to go in now to get the mini tin of biscuits as DH loves them.

Ikea now do collect from partner locations. I was surprised to learn recently there is one right near me. Very convenient.

User3735 · 11/11/2023 18:23

Costco has them every year

DustyLee123 · 04/01/2024 18:23

Just an update. I’ve now had the Aldi cookies and the Royal Dansk, and I think there’s no comparison. Royal Dansk are so much nicer.
