I'd love to treat myself to one or two scented candles for Christmas. Any recommendations for lovely ones with a strong scent for £30 or less?

I actually love the home bargains gingerbread one!

I like the Space NK Shimmering Spice candle. Very Christmassy and cosy.

RubaiyatOfAnyone · 09/11/2023 20:18

White Stuff’s winter. Christmassy without being cloying.

Music cinnamon and tangerine

I agree that The White Company Winter candle is lovely.

Any of the DK Home brand candles from TK Maxx. They have a lovely strong smell.

Smurfmurf · 09/11/2023 20:42

I like bath and body works from next. I tried white company last year, spent a fortune and there was so little smell. I was really disappointed.

DonPeggyJoan · 09/11/2023 20:50

Sainsburys do very good candles at reasonable prices, burn well and smell good, not had a sniff of any of the Christmas ones yet though.

tinytemper66 · 09/11/2023 20:55

I always buy White Company Fir tree.

Georgieporgie29 · 09/11/2023 21:01

I bought a bath and body works bright Christmas morning candle a couple of weeks ago and it’s just lovely

Neom Christmas Wish is a little over £30 for the standard size, but worth it IMO.

MakeANewPlanStan · 09/11/2023 21:08

Lakeland Lights Christmas Crags and Festive Fells are lovely. As is Chase & Wonder's Starry Night.

PolliFlinders · 09/11/2023 21:25

Isle of Skye candles frankincense and myrrh. Really lovely.

The white company's fragrance oils throw more fragrance and last longer than their candles.
Currently burning Fir tree, It's lovely.

M&S Frankincense and myrrh candle. Plus diffuser etc. I have used it for the last at least 15 tears (different one every year of course).
Love it.

St Eval Christmas candles are very good, especially the inspiritus which is quite similar to the White Company winter scent but a little cheaper.

I came here to say St Eval too! I’ve got a few of theirs on rotation (orange and cinnamon, inspiritus, figgy pudding). They’re absolutely gorgeous and don’t smell sickly or fake/chemically like some brands do. Didn’t realise they had a 2023 range! Thank you for the link 😊

I love the M&S F&M candle too - why did they shunt it out of the Christmas section and into the Library of Scent range? I still have a ton of the beautiful gold holders it used to come in, back in the increasingly hard to remember good old days of M&S.

Neon Christmas scents are gorgeous

tsmainsqueeze · 10/11/2023 08:27

Lily flame in snowfall scent is lovely.
