Once my DS was used to the size/weight, we put the wheels on and he was away in about 20 minutes. No stabilisers, no stress.

Thanks to people suggesting non stabilisers bikes - but I cannot understate ds' bad luck or clumsiness enough. He's currently awaiting hand surgery for a freak accident after a fall on a mattress which means his thumb doesn't move 🙃 We spend every new year staying in hospital for a few days on IV antibiotics for strep A/orbital cellulitis/whatever weird infection tries to kill him next time... He's just had 2 days off school following his flu vaccine which resulted in no fluid (or food) intake for almost 48 hours. If something weird/unlucky can possibly happen, it happens to him.

I'd like to add that I'm not mad, his little sister is entirely average health wise and does not suffer things like this 😅

I saw the tea towels in the crypt shop at St Martins-in-the field today for £10 each! So they're definitely a bargain. Nice quality too. Just didn't have anyone to buy them for.

Those of us who got the free candle with the small Ted Baker body spray got lucky !

Mine arrived today ( finally !) but there was no lid on the spray.

I went to check the picture to see if it was meant to have one ....
and the deal was free candle when you buy 3 Ted Baker things !!

Any how..it should have had a lid and I got a refund....after she told me to just pop along to a main Boots store and they will swap it !!

I said I wasn't able to go to shops which was why I do all my shopping on line !

So I have ended up with a free body spray and a free candle !

I noticed this too when I went to order another one for a gift 😂 the original one I bought with the free candle I’ve already used for myself. Must have been a glitch like the wax melt scandal 🫣😀

My DS5 uses a frog bike with stabilisers. I got them separately, they are lightweight are easy to raise with time and don't seem to impede him going round corners/bumps etc. The frogs hold value really well and are easy to sell on (and buy) 2nd hand. You just need to measure inside leg and match the frame height!

If anyone sees any annuals for a good price I’d like to know. Especially looking for Beano and roblox

Hey all 👋🎄. Joining the threads very late this year & so good to see it all full of business as usual!

After a heated throw for DS1's gf - she's frozen in her student flat (he's lucky his is quite toasty). I see the Silent night one shared will be available in Lidl. I'll check that out. Any others anyone sees, please let me know.

And now I've just ordered 15 teatowels. Utter bargain of the century. The Christmas/ Winter ones are beautiful & make an ideal house gift (with some biscuits/ cake) when visiting over the festivities, as well as being handy to pop in with teacher/ assistant/ workplace gifts. Amazing!
