Looking at a few things on the Nike app and wondered whether to wait for any Black Friday offers if they do them at all? Can anyone remember if they tend to do reductions or special offers and if it's worth waiting? Just don't want the items to sell out if it's likely to be another couple of weeks waiting to see!

Theacademicswife · 12/11/2023 18:51

30% off selected items from Under Armour using code UA30. Doesn't include Curry or Rock.
Ends today.

@Notherereally1 im selling my otter (?) sleep shirt as I just really can’t get on with it, have maybe used it twice and it’s just sitting in my drawer! £10 all in so ping me a dm if you’d like it!

If notthereally doesn't want this I'd happily buy it from you!

I seem to think Nike do 25% off for Black Friday. My kids always want the things that are never on sale so I just usually get the 25% so I can’t confirm any additional deals

I haven't read through the full thread yet but I got a reconditioned pc from amazon for £60 it is in mint condition and came with an even bigger screen than listed. Set it all up to test it and was perfect!

Oh the talk of long haul flights has got me thinking about my sister.

She's emigrating (sob) in January and I've been unsure about Xmas presents for her but just realised I could do a little long haul flight pack for her!

So far thinking:

  • lip balm
  • mini cleanser and moisturiser
  • photo bookmark
  • decent biro
  • puzzle book
  • space mask
  • face mist - not sure she'd use it though so not sure which one/how much to spend.

Does everyone wear flight socks flying long haul? She's young and healthy so don't think she would. Might go for some fluffy socks for in flight comfort though.

Any help would be much appreciated

When I flew to Australia I treated myself to the Caudalie beauty elixir face mist and this works ‘in transit’. Both were lovely to use. Someone brought me Aesops arrival travel kit too which looks lovely though I haven’t used it yet! Also the nurse in me is saying everyone should wear flight socks 😂 but she could wear fluffy ones on top!

buckeejit · 12/11/2023 19:23

@Crimsonbow the jurlique rose spritz is lush. Also the Elemis flash balm is nice - you can get lots of mini things on eBay

Has anyone used anywhere with photos of their pets to make prints of them as people in Victorian garb or looking like royalty or whatever? Would love a rec as think dad would like this.

Blessedbethefruitz · 12/11/2023 19:23

@Crimsonbow I'm 36 and I wear flight socks for 8 hour+ flights. Also fluffy socks! I sleep on anything longer than 3 hours though so I don't move.

This L'Occitane offer was in my Sunday Paper today, just a code no need to buy the newspaper

Brilliant bargain thanks for sharing!

Last years Quidco offer for Lego on BF was £50 cashback when you spent £100 I think! Assume it won’t be the same but don’t give up hope and check regularly before/after, they do a lot of extra cashback at this time of year.

Sadly I missed out on the Kind Patches offer and was considering the pimple patches for dd(13) who struggles with spots on her forehead. Can anyone recommend any other brands that are good that might work for her?

@buckeejit omg now I want to do this for my mum!

WhereTheresAHill · 12/11/2023 20:14

@Mytribeof3 Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish worked miracles for me at that age

I got my Husband the Garmin Approach 2 in 2016 on Black Friday from Scottsdale Golf for £90.
It seems there have been many updates since then and a quick search shows they are now on number 12.
My husbands has lasted really well. He goes to golf generally once a month a 1 golf weekend each year and it's still going strong.
Apparently it tells him how far he has hit it and has GPS.
I've found the 12 here. Hope it helps.

That looks perfect thank you so much!

Thank you, I'll take a look. We have been tweaking her skin care routine and I think we may be getting somewhere but we thought some patches to cover the area might help stop her from picking - mostly during the evenings after a stressful day. She has additional needs and is very anxious.

Fabricwitch · 12/11/2023 20:44

@Mytribeof3 I've tried a few brands and like Dots for spots. I found they worked better than others and I didn't notice them as much on my skin. I'm not 13 though😅

For any dog owners…Denzels Haunted House (dog treats) is now half price on Amazon (was £5.00, now £2.50)

I’ve just added a couple of boxes to my Amazon order as the dogs love them.

Fabricwitch · 12/11/2023 20:49

@AnotherOne4 could you add a link? They're not coming up when I search :/
