Starting this in Reastie’s absence. Hope that’s ok.

Thank you both .. I'll keep a look out for that offer then. I have MS and my hands are painful and stiff, so think they may help

Daimyum · 01/11/2023 13:04

@RainbowZebraWarrior thanks. It may be a good idea for me to get some then. I'm the same, can only have soft things

evtheria · 01/11/2023 13:14

@Tigger83 I did same as @WhyDoesItAlways and made my own 'staff room hamper' when DS was at nursery: jars of regular coffee, some flavoured instant ones*, massive box of Yorkshire, a box of decaf tea, a couple herbals, 2 big bottles of squash, tub of hot choc, and a couple family boxes of biscuits.

*Beanies jars are often sold in Aldi, but I've seen a variety box of 12 different flavoured sachets for £1.99 at Savers (which is the cheapest I've seen for that).

JessieJoJames · 01/11/2023 13:22

I purchased the staff £10 candles from M&S - I think they were on 3 for 2. I think there was 4 staff in total and then a box of chocs for the staff room.

The following year - I did £10 costa vouchers as there was one down the road from the nursery.

mumonthehill · 01/11/2023 13:34

@redjoker yes i think the £10 offer was instore as they gave me a voucher as i was looking.

Ladybaga · 01/11/2023 13:50

Ooh those crimpits look good. I'm tempted to get those to split as nursery worker presents with a few other bits and pieces, would that be odd? Has anyone used one before?

Just got the Crimpits - think it’s good for a uni student maybe? Website took a while to work. Every time I look on here I buy something!
i collected the Mountain Warehosue LED cute toy torches and they’re tiny but adorable. They’d fit in palm of your hand so perfect for a backpack for school child.

@Beckafett I always recommend Dunnes but they only seem to have one online at the moment.

Thank you, I'm in wales at the moment with not much signal so I feel like I've also got an entire thread to catch up on!

How are people getting 2 pairs of Turtle Dove fingerless gloves for £25?

I went to get some and there were a couple of basic black/grey ones reduced to £25/pair but everything else was full price and there weren’t any 2 for 1 deals to be seen…

Also has anyone seen any Turtle Dove offers on their neck warmers? I’ve lived in mine the last couple of years!

Member212711 · 01/11/2023 15:04

@wibdib The Turtle Doves offer has now finished. Worth joining their mailing list, because they do occasionally have these sorts of offers.

Lovemusic82 · 01/11/2023 15:17

”i do not need a crimpit”
“I do not need a crimpit”
”I do not need a crimpit”

Or do I? I don’t really understand them, are they just a device that crimps your bread together? Dd has a microwaveable toasty maker so I don’t think she will need a crimpit, she’s a uni student that hates cooking but loves toasties. Do I need one?

@Sideorderofchips hope you’re all safe over there tonight. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for our garden trees and roof! (I’m the usual Gsy poster with a name change.) 😊

My posh biscuits have been dispatched!

@Christmas12345 the code was just FREEBOX , however they did have disappearing website issues on the U.K. site for a couple of days which caused us all some worry . The US site sorted my cancellation and sent a very nice apology , and yesterday I had an email confirmation that the box is ready for dispatch. I’ve no idea if they are any good anymore as they have been taken over twice since the days I used to use them . Please make sure you cancel the subscription if you do go ahead though .

Had an email yesterday to say that mine is being processed and hopefully will be dispatched end of the week Grin

SnowJamz · 01/11/2023 16:36

Can anyone recommend a Buzz Wire game please? Seen on Amazon and John Lewis but they don’t seem very sturdy. Happy to pay a bit more for one that lasts.

Glassbottom · 01/11/2023 16:46

@Lovemusic82 if you have to ask you know the answer. You need a Crimpet. Hurry as you can have 2, bonus ☺️

Robyn101 · 01/11/2023 16:57

I have a niche request 😅
I’m looking for some finger bongos as like a jokey present. Under £10 ideally

Do they exist?

sparkypupp · 01/11/2023 17:02

Weshop is currently giving 100% shares back - I'm not sure how great it is but for large purchases like consoles it seems better than any other cash back site.

PopcornAndGummyBears · 01/11/2023 17:16

Who knew I needed a couple of Crimpits?! One each for DH and DS - result!

That is a great shout @Robyn101 - if they were around the £5 mark I would also be interested in finger bongos - they would be a great stocking filler for cajon playing DS

FireandBrimstone · 01/11/2023 17:20

Big thanks for the Crimpit tip @Glassbottom, I've had my eye on one of those for several weeks just ordered two along with two recipe books, excellent gifts! Or I might just keep a set for myself !

Igglepiggleandhisboat · 01/11/2023 17:23
