@Querty21** thank you for the kind offer. I do have another branch nearby, so will try that first. Smile

You're welcome

Yeah it was very strange. I was in there at 9am after the nursery drop. They hardly sold out of everything. TBH I didn't ask but I was in there a while picking up other bits and not a single wooden toy to be seen. Maybe my aldi isn't big enough 🤔

According to the friendly guy at my local Aldi (when questioning where the play kitchens were when I turned up at 8:56) there were queues outside the store before it opened and people were buying multiples of the bigger items (maybe to resell on eBay, who am I to say 🤷🏻‍♀️). One woman bought 7 kitchens! It might be what has happened here but more than likely it is as you say, it’s not big enough. You would think they would stick each store in proportion to size though and so you would have seen some bits still!

This is the reason I had to go first thing, so I could avoid the vultures snapping everything up to try and spin a profit on. It's so frustrating that people do that

It is obvious that this is my first rodeo with the toy special buys, next time I will not be casually strolling in 56 minutes after opening with DS2 in his pram.

Just looked on eBay out of curiosity and they have started to appear.….cuthbert cake for £20!

goodgriefsean · 19/10/2023 15:13

Please rap my knuckles if alcohol is not allowed!
Amazon have a £9 voucher on cases of McGuigan's wine which takes it down to £28 and a further £4 off if you opt for subscribe and save. Just ordered 6 bottles of white and 6 red for £48 and can cancel the subscription once they arrive.
Good for splitting for those wine and biscuits household gifts.

Just picked up the Lidl brochure they have some lovely looking wooden toys due to arrive in store from Thursday 26th October including several train sets. Happy to post pictures if needed.

Ooo.. yes please!

Mentaldays · 19/10/2023 15:37

@Georgieporgie29 what colour did you go for? My delivery just turned up, exactly a week and a day after placing the order. Kicking myself as didn’t get the 30% discount, I had a code for 20% but I love a bargain.

PumpkinSpicedTea · 19/10/2023 15:40

@stepfordwifey im jealous of your haul anyway! I've not had a chance to go (Storm Badet and have kids with me 😂) but was going to head out later to have a nosey but now I'm wondering if there will be nothing there. I quite fancied the doughnuts! 🙈

Georgieporgie29 · 19/10/2023 16:04

@Mentaldays there weren't many left in the xs size, I would have liked the blue one your dd has but unfortunately no stock in that size so I went for the other blue one (I think it's called azure). Thanks again for all your help I really appreciate it.

No way?! That's so shocking!

Wolfcub · 19/10/2023 16:16

Good wine tip Goodgrief. There's three choices at least for reds with differing discounts

NotmySundaybest · 19/10/2023 16:17

Not sure if already mentioned but Asda have Bluey's caravan at £15. This is half price to most other places.
Picked ours up today. Looks a decent toy!

Blessedbethefruitz · 19/10/2023 16:19

@Qwerty21 I'm sending dp for 2x rc trains too! Sent him a link already.

WhatICallMyUsername · 19/10/2023 16:22

I was in Aldi at 9am and completely forgot it started today 🫣

@Qwerty21 looks like they do have the remote control train. I’m a little sad my ds is now too old because they look lovely toys.

PS. Lego Dreamzzz Treehouse also significantly reduced on Amazon, plus an additional discount coupon:
£62.99 + 15% discount of £9.45 = £53.54

I spotted the treehouse for £45 in the clearance at Sainsburys if that helps anyone

No way?! That's so shocking!

I've seen a Cuthbert on ebay at £31, another one with a BIN of £40. And some of the food trays they had in my local Aldi at £10 each are on there at £20. It's appalling really. I dropped in there earlier and got a couple of boxes of toy groceries, and their little wooden supermarket. The kids are going to love it, and that's them mostly sorted now.

Clucket87 · 19/10/2023 17:25

I managed to get my wooden kitchen from Aldi in Nuneaton.
They had just brought the last 2 trolleys out according to the man when I was cheeky and asked if I could have one.
It was the only thing I wanted so I'm really pleased. The other stuff looks fab but I did t want to go overboard until I see how he plays with it.
Thank you for those that mentioned the Aldi wooden toys my nan is now off my back with what to buy my little boy for Christmas! X

FizzyOranges · 19/10/2023 17:29

DamitJamit · 19/10/2023 10:08

@FizzyOranges I have a 20% off lakeland voucher for a £50 spend and a 20% off lakeland heated throws that should stack that your welcome to try? Although it might be account specific too I'm not sure

Edit to say it specifies it works on items 63781, 63769 and 63719 only

Edited

Thank you!!

I ended up going for a different throw so couldn't use the throw specific code but saved £20 with the over £50 spend which is amazing :D

Blessedbethefruitz · 19/10/2023 17:29

Do people do the same at the lidl toy releases, does anyone know? Will there be none left if we're not there first thing?

TheCrow · 19/10/2023 17:35

I always get the bubble bars from Lush instead of bath bombs, they're still expensive but I got around 8-10 good bubbly baths from each snow fairy bubble bar this year.

Claramay78 · 19/10/2023 17:36

any links for the amazon wine, plz? can't find it!

Thanks

InDreamland · 19/10/2023 17:37

RumItOver · 19/10/2023 08:47

@katmarie we get the individual portion packets of Cereal, carefully undo the bottom, take the Cereal out then glue them back up! I think you get 8/10 packets on sale for £2 frequently so looks impressive and beefs up the wooden toys.

This is genius!
