For ds who's 3 he'll be getting a box of medium sized Lego and a stocking with small bits and bobs like chocolate, socks, a book etc.

Everything else will be from us, I'm not having Santa taking the credit for presents I've bought🤣

Santa here brings small stockings and one small wrapped present only.
The rest is from us.

ds6-
amazon fire tablet with protective case
Mario headphones
Small Lego mandalorian set
The flash dress up costume
A large slime craft set
Aquaman action figure
Spiderman 2099 action figure (no clue but he was very specific lol)
Light sabre toy

Also a small pile of Lego/superhero/star wars books (they're all second hand from carboot sales)

Ds1-
Some Peppa pig books (carboot sale)
Clothes
Dressing gown
Little people farm set
Mickey mouse ride on toy
Wooden Tea party set (from a carboot)

happytobemrsg · 08/10/2023 17:37

A new Sonic game @teenysaladandsniffofarose 😂 😂

Strawberryshortcake90 · 08/10/2023 17:39

Everything comes from Santa in our house because my mum can be a PITA and will spend all day crowing “look what nanny’s bought you” otherwise.

DS aged 4 so far is getting the Lego 3-in-1 medieval castle (with the added bonus it’ll take DH all Xmas morning to build 🤣), Sonic Carrera Go racetrack and Magna Tiles.

I’m really struggling for DD who will be nearly 9. She’s asked for roller skates, but she asked for roller blades last Christmas that are in the garage gathering dust, never been worn, so that’s a no!

sunshineandrain82 · 08/10/2023 17:43

Santa brings the stockings and a small gift for each of ours. This year it's a gaming chair each that we got at silly prices.

Our lists are split between birthdays and Christmas as all 4 children have birthdays around then.

But dd16:
Switch games.
Haven't a clue what else to get her.

Dd10:
Ps5
Yoto mini
Books
Games for switch and ps5

Ds7:
Ps5
Games for switch and ps5
Yoto mini
Lego freight train. (Definitely for birthday)

Dd4:
Strider bike
Switch lite and Switch games (this is so she stops taking her siblings and causing un-necessary arguments)
Lego duplo
Big jigs puzzles.

I'm very much stuck on our eldest though. She doesn't really want or like to get money or vouchers. I usually end up buying vouchers she's gifted off her. So that is pointless.
But she doesn't want anything in particular either.

MillicentTrilbyHiggins · 04/10/2023 13:27

Pants and socks.
Usually some novelty bath stuff (ds1 had unicorn bubble bath last year)
Chocolate coins
Then usually nice pens/fidget toy, although they've got loads of those now so I'm not sure

I am sorry but most of those things are rubbish christmas presents for a little boy!

Just as well they aren't little boys then! Hmm

Goneback2school · 08/10/2023 17:59

Ds18 has requested that his dad and I club together for a VR Headset so if his dad obliges that's what he'll get. Ds10- probably his first year of not believing- he has looked for the new football game for xbox, we'll probably give him a Switch with zelda game too as our dock is broken. Dd8 is asking for a tablet. Any suggestions for one suitable for a few games and maybe with a decent art/ drawing app?

You said 'ds'. But to be fair pants and socks aee pretty rubbish for any kid

WaitingfortheTardis · 08/10/2023 18:25

@curaçao You say that but my dd (5) gets really excited for her new knickers and socks, she loves getting new ones in her stocking along with her other bits!

Wanttobeok · 08/10/2023 18:39

Santa (Father Christmas actually but still) brings the parent bought presents here. Ones from Family go under the tree. We used to do one main present under the tree from us so he didn't cotton on as fast to the not real thing but he's 12 now so we have stopped that.

He has asked for Taylor Swift merch and the new Heartstopper book. He will get some hair products, clothes, shower stuff, new bedding and new Xmas pyjamas as well. Not sure about his main present yet.

I miss the days when the main present was a train set 😪

MillicentTrilbyHiggins · 08/10/2023 18:42

Thankfully my DSs don't care. Stockings are small, useful ish gifts here. They've been getting pants and socks since they were tiny and used to get excited about which character they'd have on them this year.

Now they are older its just a silly tradition that we have.

If it was the only things they were getting for Christmas you might have a point. But it's only the Santa part.

I think it sounds like a lovely gift.

I don't think the other poster should have commented as everyone's situation is different and all kids like different things. If yours like that, then it's great!

My son, too, does get excited about batman or Spider-Man pants 😅

DS2 (who will be 1) I'm completely stuck on. His birthday is right before Christmas and we're getting him a bike seat, but I do feel a Santa present should be a toy. He has all of DS1's at his disposal though!

DS2 had re wrapped toys/books from his brothers outgrown toys for birthday and Christmas for the first 2yrs 😁 what's the point when they are so young and don't know anyway of spending more money on variations of what you probably already have.

roastytoastysnowballs · 08/10/2023 22:24

I have a little scientist and a little artist

Mindovermatter247 · 08/10/2023 22:28

We are taking dd out to spend her birthday money at the end of the month, so what ever she doesn’t buy. Probably some Lego, she loves art, she’s pretty easy to be fair but I’m finding it hard to even remotely think of something… she’s pretty excited about anything she gets.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 08/10/2023 22:31

Dd8 is getting Aphmau surprise meemeow. It’s the only thing she talks about. Also kinetic sand, a cat bag, scruffaluv, mouse in the house, Pokémon onesie, Pokémon blanket, new dressing gown, watermelon heatable cuddly, rainbow high doll. She decided today she NEEDS new dolls house furniture 🤔

Dd6 month is getting a foam ball pit, pudding onesie, blanket and scarf, socks, hedgehog sensory toy, zebra noise toy, bath toy, picnic basket toy.

Some of those above have been commandeered by PILs and grandparents to give to DD’s. Mil has bought the ball pit off me to give to baby. Grandparent has bought the Aphmau meemeow from me to give to dd. Happens every year I get organised by buying early then family members are asking me what they can give and end up buying the presents from me I’ve already bought! 😅

MrsMiddleMother · 08/10/2023 22:47

We do big present and stocking from santa and some presents from us.
Ds1 4years will be getting a kids camera as he's obsessed with taking pictures (from santa)
Lego, marble run and a couple little bits from us
Ds2 2years is getting the leapfrog pizza cart (from santa)
Wooden puzzles, musical instruments and ball pit from us

MooseBreath · 08/10/2023 23:05

DS1 is 3.5 and has been telling us that he wants a "rainbow remote control monster truck" and Lego (that one is easy, at least). Ridiculously specific, but DH actually found one. He is otherwise getting a stocking with socks, chocolate, Hot Wheels, superhero action figures, a toothbrush, and a book.

DS2 is 1 and is getting a duck run bath toy, a peg/hammer board, and a stocking with dummies, a stuffie, Hot Wheels, a toothbrush, and a book.

I did accidentally buy DS2 'suggestive' boxers a couple of years ago. I was panic shopping on Christmas eve and they didn't have many packs in his size. So I opted for the ones with fruit and veg on as they were the most 'fun' and he loves the fruit and veg that was on them.
I somehow, in my flustered state, forgot that aubergine, banana and peach emoji all mean something other than aubergine, banana and peach! We still laugh about it 2 years later, although the boxers are looking like they might be wearing out. Maybe I'll see if they have them again this year Grin

And before anyone decides to get on their high horse about me buying my child suggestive underwear (accidentally) he was 15 and they were in the mens section. I don't think you can buy things like that for actual child sized children.

The problem is that DS1 is old enough to remember all his toys! Admittedly helped by the fact we moved house recently and he saw them while the packing was happening. DS2 puts things in his mouth in a way that DS1 never did, so I think a shape sorter where the shapes are also teether toys is the solution to what Santa will bring.

And I just have to convince the family that really DS2 needs nothing...
