Frankinbeans · 04/10/2023 20:46

@Sleeplessnightssss 😂i didn't even notice that!

Whathappensnow11 · 04/10/2023 20:51

Santa only brings colouring books/colouring pencils/stickers etc.

Mummy and daddy however buy the bigger/expensive stuff. Last year we bought them bikes. Not thought about anything this year.

soundsys · 04/10/2023 20:52

DS(7) is getting a giant cuddly octopus from IKEA. Which is much better than the year he asked for a chocolate sock 🤣

Nanalisa60 · 04/10/2023 20:53

Santa only every bought one present per child to our house as there was only enough room on that sledge for one present for each boy and girl all over the world. All other present were from family and friends. I always remember a school teacher friend saying how sad she use to feel the day after the kids came back from Christmas holidays and the kids were asking each other what the big man had bought them, some got so much and others just one small gift. She always said I wish they all just got one thing from Santa as she hated seeming the faces of the poorer kids thinking why did I not get all those presents, why did I only get one.

Upsadiddles · 04/10/2023 21:07

DD(6) is getting a switch from us. Probably a Lego set or LOL doll or something from Santa, although I’m waiting until she writes her letter to decide on that. She’ll get something crafty, an
outfit, pjs and slippers, and some books from us too, and then a stocking from Santa containing chocolate, hair accessories, a game, a notebook etc.

DD(2ish) will get a balance bike from us and some duplo from Santa. She’ll also get books, pjs etc and a stocking which so far consists of bath crayons, bubble bath and play doh.

We have a big family who will buy for them
too although I know a couple are planning experiences.

My ds10 is having
-a PS5 (purchased from EE so added to my phone bill for £35 a month for 12 months)
-an air up bottle (got it for half price on offer!)
-adidas trainers (£19.50 in the sale)
-adidas tracksuit

I’ll also get him some Lynx and some chocolates and a Teddy. He is spending Christmas Day with his dad this year so will have a full Christmas Day there then come home on Boxing Day to do it all again!

Please could you tell me whwre the air up bottle is half price 🙏🏻 I absolutely refuse to pay full price for a bottle that I feel he will use a couple of times and either not like it or lose it lol. But of course he really really really wants one 🙄

travellingwithatoddler · 04/10/2023 21:48

My 3 year old specifically wants a 'yo-yo and a diary' Grin

Barleysugar86 · 04/10/2023 23:20

6 year old will be getting lego, bop it and screwball scramble 1 and 2, so far that's all I've picked up.

Merrow · 05/10/2023 06:33

DS1 (4) has requested a "real, really really real, spaceship". I've explained that's unlikely as you need so much training to be up in space, but I think it will still make the list. He's also asked for hot wheels track with at least 4 lanes, which is more achievable! We don't buy the big present until his letter to Santa is written in December, but I've been making a note of things I think he'll like for grandparents etc. (pretty much all either lego or car related).

DS2 (who will be 1) I'm completely stuck on. His birthday is right before Christmas and we're getting him a bike seat, but I do feel a Santa present should be a toy. He has all of DS1's at his disposal though!

Newtothis2005 · 05/10/2023 06:34

I have an almost 3 year old who hasn’t expressed an interest in anything. I’m thinking a dolls house

TeenDivided · 05/10/2023 07:29

@ichangedmyhair Harry Potter Schleich ! Fab. thank you, no idea it existed.

ichangedmyhair · 05/10/2023 07:30

@TeenDivided it is gorgeous! A little Expensive for some pieces, but really fab!

We had a massive range of Schleich animals when DD was younger, as DD was/is animal mad - all the normal ones plus lemurs, platypus, etc etc. She'll love the Dobby and the Buckbeak I think.

Sleeplessnightssss · 05/10/2023 10:34

@Newtothis2005 I got a really pretty wooden dolls house and wooden furniture from asda online, I think it was £68 for the house and furniture

Bookish88 · 05/10/2023 10:52

DS(4) is getting the Playmobil rocket, space station and Mars rover. All other gifts (skateboard, books, games, etc) will come from us.

ChristmasIsComing2023 · 05/10/2023 13:33

Santa does ‘want, need, wear, read’ and the stocking here. I’ve started on my 2 year olds stocking but I’m not sure what the Santa gifts will be yet but I have got him some HappyLand stuff from us

ichangedmyhair · 05/10/2023 15:38

@TeenDivided we had/have a huge selection of schleich animals too, they get played with constantly. I love them. Ds really wants dumbledore and Hagrid.

Ordered Dobby & Buckbeak, thank you.

We still have DD's animals in a box as they were too good to get rid of when she eventually grew out of them.

DisruptiveCumin · 06/10/2023 09:10

ChristmasIsComing2023 · 08/10/2023 16:51

We were in Smyths yesterday and my 2 year old played with Ryder’s Pup Pad for ages and walked around the shop with it so I got him that and that can be his ‘want’ from Santa as he actually chose it 🥰

Blessedbethefruitz · 08/10/2023 17:11

Father Christmas brings 1 tree gift and a stocking here.

Ds (almost 5) is getting a huge RC Monster Truck. Dd (almost 2) is getting a buggy for her baby doll.

Stockings include various chocolate items, a special stuffy, lego polybag, playmobil penguin family, light up wands, etc. Special things that will be loved or very happily consumed, I'm trying to cut back as last year was ridiculous.
