I’m not offering to buy mind you!! Just wondering what people are hoping for this Christmas.

I’d really like some tan leather knee high boots with a comfy/blocky sort of heel, a galvanised wheelbarrow with no painted bits that will peel/non galvanised bits that will rust, and some marzipan fruits…

My football team's new away shirt

Who's your team?

nationallampoons · 31/08/2023 21:11

I would love a hamper with skincare, treats and fluffy socks, and a new dressing gown

Walthamstow FC. Their new kits are in a William Morris print and are stunning.

Professional water colour paints - I don’t know which colours yet as it will depend what I have run out of!!
New Chalet School books that have been published this year.
A crochet project - pattern and wool.

A Black and Tan, miniature smooth haired dachshund bitch puppy or an Innov-is F580 Sewing/Embroidery/Quilting Machine.

😂Love this.
I'm with you re the puppy, god I love Dachshunds.
Realistically I'd love the actual things I send DH the links for, not the ones where he goes 'off piste' to get something similar, but totally not what I want. Otherwise his own present choices are fab, Dyson hairdryer last year, best thing I've ever owned.

Greenpeasnwham · 31/08/2023 21:33

Ooh love these threads!
Skog hand cream
A brass pencil sharpener
A cashmere travel wrap (green)
diptique solid perfume
inktense blocks
a roll of linen for painting
some walnut ink.
marzipan
knitted socks
handmade sketchbook

(I’ll get the marzipan and some art books and buy myself the pencil sharpener and perfume. On Christmas Day I’ll swear blind they came from Santa and no one will dare challenge me)! I mainly just enjoy the food and the smells and the magic of it all. love Christmas.

@ChristmasCrumpet

You need something that's real fur. I know it's highly controversial but you'll never be cold in it. What you looked at rabbit fur gilets? Rabbits are eaten by many so I would feel less guilty than wear a fox fur for eg.

Annaishere · 31/08/2023 21:43

A leather jacket

countdowntonap · 31/08/2023 21:44

On Running trainers
PJs
New skincare products to try, or a beauty box/kit
Camel coat
Amazon vouchers (to buy books)
interesting non-fiction books

I did actually try something rabbit lined once, and I don't deny, it was definitely warm. However it was not very breathable, and I just got absolutely dripping with sweat (sorry!) to boot.

Floralnomad · 31/08/2023 21:45

Crocs
highland cow ‘Oodie ‘ thing from Next ( it looks thinner than my actual Oodie )
duplicate pair of my slippers

A small alarm clock with analogue face. If such a thing exists with a radio too that would be perfect

@Thighdentitycrisis what about something like this?

Radio Analogue

ShitsCreep · 31/08/2023 21:51

High top converse in lime green

Ambertonix · 31/08/2023 21:59

Books and chocolate. I really dont need much else in life.

BabyShaark · 31/08/2023 22:09

Nothing.

I have a strict no presents policy. I don’t give presents and don’t expect (or want) presents.

Takes a lot of the pressure out of Christmas.

Exception is DD (3), but she still believes Father Christmas brings the gifts 😂

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 31/08/2023 22:49

Socks
Pjs
Slipper boots
Nice soft chunky scarf
Some nice bits for my car like an organiser
Some nice chocolates
Maybe a new chilly bottle

A shift to every 4 years (like the Olympics) and a ban on talking about it before November.

It's the Christmas Board, why don't you hide it instead of whinging about people posting about a topic, in the correct topic?!

Trumpton · 01/09/2023 01:26

Replacement Celtic and Co sheepskin slippers. They last for years but mine are getting scruffy as I wear them all day!
Candles, Neom or Dipyque.
Oils for my Neom diffuser.
Cashmere wrap.
Gin.

The ability to sleep all night!

YuliaJollyberry · 01/09/2023 06:13

100% Cashmere slouchy socks. And a new wallet as just taped my current one back together.

Roselilly36 · 01/09/2023 06:22

Not worried about gifts, would just like my DS’ home for Christmas dinner.

Nagado · 01/09/2023 12:46

A Tom Martin bauble (Father Christmas and the Royal Guards), a hat block, Converse ballet trainers, slippers, Pringle socks, Clinique Happy Heart perfume, Apple ear pods (with a cord, not the cordless ones) and a glass trifle bowl.

That’s all I’ve been able to think of (DH asks for a list then picks bits off it so I still get surprises) but I’m not really bothered. We’ve got a wonderful Christmas planned with nephews and nieces, so nothing will top that.

SunnieShine · 01/09/2023 12:48

A lovely day enjoying my family's company.

my82my · 01/09/2023 12:53

Books
Weighted blanket
A cashmere cardigan
Prada Candy perfume

Hibernatalie · 31/08/2023 18:09

Oh - one of those new GHD wet to styles hair straighteners, but they are out of our price range

My SD has one, Not worth the money at all. My £50 hair straighteners are better.
