I’m not offering to buy mind you!! Just wondering what people are hoping for this Christmas.

I’d really like some tan leather knee high boots with a comfy/blocky sort of heel, a galvanised wheelbarrow with no painted bits that will peel/non galvanised bits that will rust, and some marzipan fruits…

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 31/08/2023 19:38

A few books that l can't get from the library

a food hamper with lots of lovely things in it for us all to eat
Jo loves perfume from Zara

TeaMistress · 31/08/2023 19:42

Some nice aromatherapy bath oils or some really nice bubble bath. There is just something about sinking into a lovely bubble bath and shutting the rest of the world out. I would love some new pyjamas and some nice skincare and makeup.

RagzRebooted · 31/08/2023 19:45

A new phone because mine is 4 years old and keeps crashing/freezing.
Ferrero rocher
Slippers
New pyjamas

I like @fourelementary 's idea of you and DH buying your own, as I always have to send him links anyway so that way I'd get what I want, it would be wrapped and I'd not have to think of and buy DH's as well! I'm sold on this!

FlyingHighFlyingLow · 31/08/2023 19:46

My first baby is due very end of November so all I want is for me and baby to be healthy and home with DH! Been a complicated pregnancy so far.

mrsfeatherbottom · 31/08/2023 19:50

PJ bottoms
An air fryer
Some jewellery from a brand I really like (a lariat necklace and new huggies)
A panda hot water belt

Pablosdog · 31/08/2023 19:52

Givenchy intuit perfume
Silk pillowcase
Costa gift card
Ferrero Roche

Squeaky2023 · 31/08/2023 19:53

I would like to know that I could go on a two week travelling type holiday.

Thighdentitycrisis · 31/08/2023 19:55

A small alarm clock with analogue face. If such a thing exists with a radio too that would be perfect

doodlejump1980 · 31/08/2023 19:55

Books
a personailised quality street tin with just the toffees in.
some new pjs

crochetmonkey74 · 31/08/2023 19:58

I'm feeling like little gifts this year, so some fancy jam, some bubble bath , hand cream, some nice socks and a candle would do me nicely

Mummapenguin20 · 31/08/2023 20:04

Some nice pjs

Goldmember · 31/08/2023 20:22

A new bathroom, ours is minging. It's asking too much. I don't have any specific gift requests at the moment, I tend to buy what I need as I go.

TwizzerlingToadstools · 31/08/2023 20:27

Some David Austin roses.
I'm totally addicted since l grew my very first one many years ago, have over 30 now and luckily l still have room for a few more.

AnnieSnap · 31/08/2023 20:27

I have everything I want really. So does DH. This is awkward because I love having a surprise gift to unwrap and I love giving him gifts 🤷‍♀️

My husband and I buy our own presents for ourselves up to a budget of £75… we wrap them
up and on Xmas day take half an hour just to ourselves to sit and open them together… it’s lovely.

So far I have bought myself a new Emma Bridgewater mug… (£17)

I love this idea!

justanothermanicmonday1 · 31/08/2023 20:32

A new watch & a vintage Burberry card case.

Apart from that, a lovely quiet Christmas with my newborn and toddler and DP in our new home! 🥰

All I really want is to eat Xmas dinner with my adult DC. I've got 3 DC and I think I will go to one son and the other son will travel up too. I usually do an early Xmas for DD and 2 DGC second week of December. They come to.me and I cook a full Xmas dinner plus DGC open their gifts from DH and me. I take them to see Santa and they like to take my 2 dogs for a walk and look at all the Xmas lights close to my house. We go to paint a Xmas bauble every year. They have a nice little collection now for when they leave home in the future. We have a lovely weekend but just for once I'd like to have all 3 DC with me on Xmas day. DD always goes to one of her in-laws on Xmas day either MiL and her DH or FiL and his DW. Her DH is an only child so they expect this. I don't say anything because I know she feels pressured by her in-laws and I don't want to add to her pressure. Material things I can buy for myself if I want them.

APurpleSquirrel · 31/08/2023 20:37

I want to do interesting courses - a willow hare or dragonfly; Lino printing, or silversmithing.

I really hope you get your wish. 🤞

I'd like a personalised necklace of the kids initials or something like that.

Any links welcome ☺️

Have you tried a steam cleaner? They get rid of anything nasty on the grout including limescale. Could you ask DH to do this for you. My son cleaned and valeted my car one year and put a new car freshener in it. It was one of my favourite gifts.

whatausername · 31/08/2023 20:45

Milk frother
Books
Perfume that i love
Book of stamps
Theatre ticket
Vogue from my birth month
Beano

ChristmasCrumpet · 31/08/2023 20:55

Non surgical looking/slobby heated stuff. I'm permanently cold. Everything that's heated, like foot warmers looks either hospital grade, or like my 86yr old grandmother bought it. Oodies seem a good idea, but it feels too much like being in a dressing gown all day. Heated gilets look like you're about to go fishing.

Just want something uber warm (cashmere etc doesn't cut it) or actually heated, that I can look nice in, and not bulky or for the elderly. Having given this incoherent waffle speech to DH, frankly fuck knows what the poor man is supposed to buy me.
