Thank you so much squirrel, that’s great. Got one for my sister and dd. So pleased.

Might sound a bit random but what does everyone use to keep track of what they've bought? Do you take photos and store them on your phone or just write it down? Or is there an app I'm missing out on? I've just been made redundant and trying to be organised this year so have started earlier than usual.

The "Gift List" app. It has an orange present with a red bow as the icon. It's really helpful and self explanatory on how to use it.

I use Santa’s Bag app, think is my 3rd or 4th year running with it. You can assign gifts to multiple people or one person, put in prices, write down where it’s from etc etc. You can also amend the status like “idea” or “ordered” and make notes about where you’ve stashed it. It’s even got a stocking filler tag too.

The Gift List app, used it for a few years now and find it really helpful

I just use my Notes app and created a table with columns for Who, What, Cost. If I have ideas for a gift but haven't purchased it yet then I write it in italics (under What), and just change it back to regular font after buying.

I loved the look of the various gift tracker apps, but kept forgetting to actually open & use them.

If you give wine as presents I can recommend Winedrop. They import directly from the producer and you can order as many bottles as you want. They message you about the wines they have each day and you can order as few as or many as you want. They only post once you have 6 or you can choose 12 bottles. One of the bottles we got for around £12.00 sells for £94 at The Fat Duck.

FredaFox · 30/07/2023 22:55

I also use Santa bag to track what I'm spending

Lastminutebride · 31/07/2023 06:53

Air up bottles - I know these are a bit Marmite but also popular with tweens / teens and I have just seen these on another group.

These are heavily discounted black steel air up bottles, looking across the website they are usually £44.99 for this size but this set comes in a lot less because they are a package with three normal pods and two out of date pods.

Discounted air up

I used a referral code for a further 20% off and got them for £20 which is a great saving. My discount code is below if anyone wants to use it - it will also give me a 20% discount on a future purchase when used, so no pressure to use it but it was useful for me to have one without searching

20% discount code (for buyer and me)

Thank you for the airup link and referral code. The kids have been asking for one of these for a while now, and £20 for the black steel bottle is a great deal.

If you have a look at Instant Finds, they will have a search for you in Bicester, and post. They had Ugg slippers for £35 last week.

JingsMahBucket · 26/07/2023 23:25

@coffeetofunction gat looks like a good bargain. Does it work with Bluetooth or Wifi at all so you can connect it to speakers wirelessly?

Setting it up is evening and hoping to use a chrome cast. Will report back how it goes

InAnyOtherLife · 31/07/2023 16:19

Discounts on the Disney Princesses here - Raya is £8.50 and a number of the others have a £3.98 voucher, bringing them to a tenner.

Has anyone tried the air up bottles to know if they really work? I loathe the taste of water but know I should drink more so was initially really tempted when I saw these advertised - but then thought that fruit teas often smell wonderful but are completely tasteless so it feels like you're drinking hot water - which left me thinking that they aren't likely to work if you're fussy like me so I'm loathe to try them without hearing of genuine thoughts on them! Thank you all.

I couldn’t taste a difference with the AirUp but have found a huge difference with Waterdrop. They can be quite expensive but I’m sure I have a referral for a Discount if you want to try them. They are little cubes that dissolve in 400/600ml of cold water (or there are teas too). I really like them and it helps me drink more water.

PeppaNGeorge · 31/07/2023 16:53

Hi, hope it’s ok to post this here.

Please can anyone recommend a board game for a 3 year old but one that is not a super popular one? My niece loves board games, but a lot are either for older age or the ones age suitable she already has. Trying to find one her parents won’t have come across. Thanks :-)

AnotherBreakfast · 31/07/2023 16:56

Not a board game per se but we absolutely love the little game 'animo dice' by djeco. Is incredibly simple and I think a 3 yr old would love it: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115622942215?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=zGAHWpMhRMW&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
