Compiling my ideas list for next year!

I’ll start:

Truffle salt from Fortnum and Mason a huge hit. Got him truffle honey last year and was also a hit. V small though so more of a stocking filler.

Downside - I hate truffle and it is stinking out the whole kitchen.

DH very happy with his socks, whisky, port and B&Q voucher. Plus he loved the tshirt insulting the RAF that DD chose (interservice rivalry.. its all good natured)

Blanketpolicy · 27/12/2022 22:30

Dh happy with his socks, Bulliet bourbon, and a soup flask. A man of simple tastes.

YorkieTheRabbit · 27/12/2022 22:30

Loved his wildlife camera, wanted to sort it out today but the weather has been awful.

Just a nod for next year - IKEA do a stack of 4 fancy salts, like wild garlic and truffle salt. It's about a fiver. Big hit with my salty DH

Thank you @Kitkatcatflap

He loved the electric massager for his bad back, bamboo socks and contigo coffee flask.

KangarooKenny · 28/12/2022 07:50

DH loved his het with a light on for walking the dog in the dark.

KangarooKenny · 28/12/2022 07:50

*hat

IWillBeWaxingAnOwl · 28/12/2022 07:51

He liked: Sherpa fleece from Passenger, fave team football socks (plays 7 a side), Fitbit, new soft pj bottoms

Cismyfatarse · 28/12/2022 07:54

Charger stand for iPhone / headphones etc

T shirts and jumper from Uniqlo (t shirts are amazing quality).

lugeforlife · 28/12/2022 09:00

Oddly the Galileo weather station I got him from Amazon Black Friday and had thought was a bit of tat and I shouldn't have bought - he loved! He's put it up on his desk and put his room thermometer next to it. I get a running commentary on his balls dropping....

He was less fussed about his hori hori gardening knife but possibly because he can't really use it atm.

The book of spy puzzles was a bust. Shouldn't have bothered with that.

BlancPetal · 28/12/2022 14:19

DHs big surprise gift was a new mountain bike - he was over the moon.

NoDairyNoProblem · 28/12/2022 14:25

DH was pleased with everything I think.
Chanel Blu aftershave - his favourite
Apple Watch - kept admiring mine but wouldn’t go and buy himself one so I did (out of our joint finances so literally makes no difference in our house)
Wine tasting voucher plus a voucher for £50 to spend when he goes- conveniently his best friend got one from his wife too!

Tacocatgoatcheesepizza · 28/12/2022 14:27

@Suseal what massager did you get?
thanks!

Puffalicious · 28/12/2022 14:33

DH loves his Patagonia jacket - the big pressie. Always appreciates everything, so loves the walking socks, book on Munros, coffee, bamboo socks and posh toiletries. Surprise raving was over a new mug 😀

Musicalmistress · 28/12/2022 14:40

OH loved his Alexa device - spent ages on Christmas Day getting it to play his fave music & asking geeky Star Trek questions.
Also loved his blue tooth, wireless ear buds from DD - he uses them at the gym & his old ones died last week.

CountryCatLady · 28/12/2022 14:49

DP favourite present was a picture frame with pics of us and the kids. The kids picked their pics and put it together for him.

Everything else was pretty much a hit too. Got him an action camera and wellies

Bluevelvetsofa · 28/12/2022 15:00

Two tickets for the Festival of Speed. Combined big birthday and Christmas present.

These are lush. I bought them

scoopoftheday · 28/12/2022 15:47

Nike Metcon. He's a real gym bunny. I was going to buy him an air fryer...thank God I didn't!

Badger1970 · 28/12/2022 15:53

I bought DH a bottle of Creed aftershave. He loves the smell but absolutely hates the bottle it came in..... and has done but complain about having to look at it! He won't be getting another.........

OneFrenchEgg · 28/12/2022 15:59

Dh is really hard to buy for, we went shopping pre Christmas and he picked a shirt, but he hasn't picked up the book (he doesn't read, I'm an idiot to keep trying), he has eaten the chocolate orange though!

LeFeu · 28/12/2022 16:27

Tabletop drawing board has gone down well with arty DH!

BangingOn · 28/12/2022 16:42

DH rarely spends money on himself but loves nice things, which makes him easy to buy for. Ralph Lauren jumper, BAM boxers, Creed aftershave, What Car subscription and a couple of books all went down well.

whatwasIgoingtosay · 28/12/2022 16:56

DH loved the miniature flavoured gins and tonics set from Tesco, the digital voltmeter (£2.50 from a little local hardware store) and the Echo Dot with Alexa from Amazon.
