So upset! I bought an item off Amazon yesterday it said it would be delivered Friday, it never once mentioned it was being sent by Royal Mail so of course it was delivered TODAY by rm!! And I missed it, now the sorting office is closed so now I won’t have my daughters present for tomorrow as they are striking 😢 it said it was going to be delivered tomorrow by amazon I paid a lot of money for this item.

Hi OP, I hope you managed to get it. Times are tough enough without added stress. However, you might want to ask that this three gets pulled or pull your other post elsewhere as you are identifiable. Xx

Evri are becomeing awful. DH bought 2 presents, one three or four weeks ago, one a couple of weeks ago. Neither have arrived, thanks to Evri. Evri 'can't find' either of them.
I dont; know what they are, but they were supposed to be for me for Christmas, and I like a lot of 2nd hand things, some of which are very had to find.Evri just saying 'get the seller to send anther one' doesn't work.

Think you've missed it here that Evri DID deliver but Amazon sent the wrong thing!

Hope you managed to get it OP.

Oh for goodness sake, it’s a fair question. The OP hasn’t been able to afford it at any point in the last year, but suddenly can two days before Christmas, knowing there’s a postal strike and the couriers are absolutely snowed under too?

She thought it was being delivered by Amazon, so the postal strikes are neither here nor there.

@FlatWhiteExtraHot No it wasn't a fair question. At all. Obviously the OP had her reasons. My husband and I haven't had much money this year but have both recieved our back pay. Which means we had to leave Christmas shopping to the last minute. Don't be so judgemental!

SpinningFloppa · 22/12/2022 20:21

Not sure why I’m being judged what a weird thing! I wasn’t going to buy it I changed my mind at the last minute MN is so odd sometimes! I bought it because I got my daughters DLA early hence not being able to afford it sooner and I decided that she deserved a treat after having a hard time what a weird thing to judge someone over 🙄

Not that I need to justify myself to anyone on MN 🤦🏻

I think it depends on whether it is sent by Amazon or by one of the companies that use Amazon for selling.

Homeofgames · 22/12/2022 20:30

Hope you managed to get it OP, what a stressful day

Oysterbabe · 22/12/2022 20:31

I had an Amazon order 'delivered' by DPD today. Except they did not deliver it or make any attempt to. They dumped it at a random newsagents a mile away, presumably with any other parcels they had for people locally, and sent me a text telling me to collect it. Apparently they do this as it is more environmentally friendly. I do not have time for this shit. I shop online so that stuff is brought to my house.

Tittyfilarious81 · 22/12/2022 20:34

@SpinningFloppa Hope you managed to get it for her x

hairyunicorn · 22/12/2022 11:20

why did you leave ordering so late?

So helpful

MyGrandmaLizzie · 22/12/2022 21:28

I hope you got your parcel OP

Longbarn5 · 22/12/2022 21:33

Take a good photo of the item, add a note to say sorry this will be late because of pist issues. Put it in a Christmas card and then wrap up in some cardboard so it isn't obvious that it's a card.

Skyeheather · 22/12/2022 21:39

When you get your email from Amazon saying it's been dispatched, click on the track order box and you'll be able to see who is delivering it - for me it always seems to vary between Amazon Logistics and RM - FYI

Onetinofheroesdown · 22/12/2022 22:23

Did you get it?

Willowswood · 22/12/2022 23:21

Update??!

Mojo777 · 22/12/2022 23:59

Is there any news yet? I hope you managed to get it? xx

Someone's never been poor 🙄

I have been extremely poor, and I’m not exactly rich now given I’m too disabled to work, which is why I did my shopping bit by bit rather than leaving it till December.

Rich or poor, Christmas is not exactly a shock. It comes on the same day every year.

toomuchlaundry · 23/12/2022 09:42

We have had a post delivery today and our parcel depot is open. Wasn’t expecting either. Hoping you have got it sorted @SpinningFloppa

XelaM · 23/12/2022 13:41

Hope you got your parcel OP!

Prescottdanni123 · 23/12/2022 14:24

@FlatWhiteExtraHot

And OP has said that she couldn't afford it before now. So she presumably has had a difficult few months and only recently has just got hold of some extra cash, whether from early pay slip/christmas bonus or a relative has helped her out.
