Do you wrap stocking fillers?

I normally do wrap them but not sure I can be bothered this year so was curious what other people do.

I think part of it is also that we’ve done a mix of little fun gifts & practical gifts for the kids (1 & 6). I think the 6 yr old would be a bit disappointed to unwrap mouthwash 😂

This is the first year I have wrapped as my friends all looked at me like I had 2 heads when I said I didn't last year 🫢. 3 hours it took to finish all the Christmas wrapping, I'm not sure I'll bother next year!

ImpulsiveFlake · 19/12/2022 13:20

Nope. Never. The stocking is the wrapping in this house.

Figgypudding123 · 19/12/2022 13:20

Nope. Extra unnecessary faff.

Bumply · 19/12/2022 13:31

Always wrapped them.
Two sons both got the same things (4 years age difference)
If one was quicker tipping everything out that would spoil the surprise for both of them

BooksAndHooks · 19/12/2022 13:33

Always wrapped. We bulk bought the massive rolls of the same paper so the stocking presents from Father Christmas always have the same paper as it’s different to any other paper we use.

nowtygaffer · 19/12/2022 13:35

I wrap in tissue paper. Doesn't need sellotape, just wrap round and shove in!

lurchermummy · 19/12/2022 13:38

I buy the paper bags off Amazon and use those so they are wrapped but a bit rough and ready'

SkankingWombat · 19/12/2022 13:40

I do a mix. I don't wrap edibles or blind bags, but everything else is wrapped.

countrygirl99 · 19/12/2022 13:41

God no, life's too short.

Ban · 19/12/2022 13:41

Yes

ditherydotty · 19/12/2022 13:45

Yes

Staywithmemyblood · 19/12/2022 13:50

Nope - can’t be bothered with that

Autumninnewyork · 19/12/2022 14:00

Oh my goodness this is a revelation!! 😆 I have never wrapped and growing up the contents of our stockings were never wrapped. What a waste of time and paper

MrsMontyD · 19/12/2022 14:09

I wrap most things, not chocolates or sweets, it's wrapped in cheap paper and not very well because it's done by elves not me.

ASCB31 · 19/12/2022 14:11

Yes we wrap them, except DDs 2nd Christmas because she really did not like unwrapping gifts! But she's gotnout of that now, so we wrap ☺️

Athenen0ctua · 19/12/2022 14:15

Wouldn't wrap anything that is normal shopping like mouthwash or shower gel or a satsuma. Would wrap a Toblerone, but not chocolate coins or a chocolate FC.

Theoldwoman · 19/12/2022 14:19

I don’t wrap.
My parents didn’t wrap either.

PurBal · 19/12/2022 14:20

Wrap. This year we’re using tissue paper and brown paper. I used to love wrapping before DS was born. Now it’s tedious.

Mumtqxidiamond · 19/12/2022 14:22

Wrap unless it’s sweets .. but this year it’s all sweets

lightand · 19/12/2022 14:22

Nope.
But run into a little bit of trouble as a new family member that has joined us all, didnt understand the concept of stockings with unwrapped presents!
So I may make an exception for him!

lightand · 19/12/2022 14:23

I see tissue paper being used on this thread. An interesting idea!

UntilHootOwlReturns · 19/12/2022 14:23

Yes. A rustly, crackly stocking is one of my main memories of magic from childhood. A large part of the fun is unwrapping it all. Plus what do the elves do all year, I thought they were busy wrapping gifts?! It's essential for us, part of the point of having a stocking.

UntilHootOwlReturns · 19/12/2022 14:24

You put mouthwash in a stocking? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Or are you joking?

Emmacb82 · 19/12/2022 14:25

All wrapped here, in different paper to all the rest of the presents of course as it’s from Father Christmas! Only things I leave unwrapped are the sweets and chocolates and a bottle of matey bubble bath! Stockings were always my favourite bit so I do the same for my children

NoNamesLeft234678 · 19/12/2022 14:26

Dp says no as he doesn't like wrapping at all and he would have to wrap mine if wrapped his. But next year when ds is 2 I think I will wrap his little stocking fillers to give the morning a bit more excitement 😝
