CHOCOLATE: A CAUTIONARY TALE

I sleep very badly at the moment, and woke up at around 4am a couple of nights ago. I decided to make the most of the opportunity and checked Amazon for the bargain Dairy Milk for the millionth time that day. It was available! I ordered five bars (lots and lots of December birthdays coming up) and eventually went back to sleep.
The chocolate has just been delivered. My bleary eyes must have read it wrong, and now I have five bars of not-very-bargainous 300g Dairy Milk that I can't gift as it doesn't look that special, and I can't return as Amazon don't allow returns on it. It's been a bit of a short, sharp shock for me - I just got obsessed and now I am stuck with a load of chocolate I never really needed in the first place. Very cross with myself!

@buckeejit thanks! So is the Aromatherapy Associates far superior to the water type? I only use essential oils in my basic water ones but find them a bit of a faff and the fragrance doesn’t tend to linger for long.

Have managed to dodge them for a few years but now both DS’s had decided they want one.
It needs to be one of the bigger ones 30 or 40” I think? and suitable for boys aged 7 and 4.5yrs. They’ve mentioned SpongeBob, Spider-Man and Mickey Mouse but doesn’t have to be a character, just anything as long as it’s not too ‘girly’ (their words!)
The more barginous the better….

@AlbertCampion buy a silicone chocolate mould and melt the bars down to make shaped chocolates - we sometimes add extra flavouring (orange oil / peppermint etc) to make it more festive. Bag up and good to go!

@paintyhands I find the ones with water sort of go off after a few hours. The AA one you just stick the essential oils blend bottle in & press the button-it does a little release every so often for 30 mins, an hour or 3 hours I think. It also charges via usb so you can move it around the house. I love it & have been considering another as I'm lazy & would like one in the bedroom.

The forest blend smells great. There is an offer on but it's still £250 for a big lot of things. Other combos available

Ah thank you @ImHavingAnOldFriendForDinner and @handmademitlove . I am currently feeling very stupid and am, of course, consoling myself with chocolate. Epic fail! I love the shaped chocs idea, though, so may try to salvage the situation that way.

Dh and I have just got back from America and I've missed a few threads It's good to be back to some normality

Currently on the lookout for a plug in Chime for our Ring doorbell, but I can't see any decent deals atm and a Shark vacuum!

Off to catch up on threads and scour the internet for deals!
