Sorry, that sounds crap. I was put off by the fact that they said the mystery box would 'be worth more than the contents' (which could be by 50p on their shockingly overpriced items) but didn't say 'will contain at least X items' etc. Usually mystery type boxes (at least beauty ones, anyway) say £12.99 but contents worth over £40 or such like.

There are a lot of good reviews on their Trust Pilot, but a few shocking ones too. Absolutely none relating to the Mystery boxes. I'm guessing that's because they aren't quite crap enough to comment.

So very disappointing for you. 2 items does not constitute a 'mystery box'

Has anyone got any ideas for a token present for a 10 year old boy? It's a brother of a friend of my younger DC (who we will give a present to!) but I don't want to leave the 10 year old out - but equally I don't want to spend a lot! I don't know the parents well enough to ask!

If anyone is after high end candles then TK max have some cow shed, Rituals and Soho House ones online. I find the stuff online always arrives in much better nick than you get in the shops where packaging etc is usually really scruffy.
