Sorry the advent calendar is actually £21 with code bright30

Sisisimone · 19/11/2022 12:34

My candy kittens order has just been delivered by yodel. I thought with it being a 'deluxe Christmas hamper' it would be nicely packaged but it's basically just all just thrown in the delivery box. I'm going to have to buy a nice Xmas box to make it look half decent and not like I've just gone to the corner shop and picked up a few packets of sweets. If I'd have paid the full £30 I'd be really unhappy

Revan · 19/11/2022 12:35

@Fueledwithfairydustandgin Thank you for the recommendation, I'll see if I can find it or something like it for cheap!

@mrsanflowerpot I bought myself a mirror in the style and shape I wanted and then added these to it. So much cheaper and I got to customise it to be perfect for my needs. Really pleased with it, though recommend some duct tape to hold back the unruly wires around the back.

FluffyFluffMonster · 19/11/2022 12:58

I've just got my DD the paper chase advent but I had already got the asos calendar. I think it will be too young for her so would anyone want it for the price of p&p? The asos one that is

Thanks for the Ugg tip - bought my mum a pair at full price only a week ago - just repurchased for £35 less!

gogetgone13 · 19/11/2022 12:59

@Hibbutyhop Stacey Solomon has just shared a discount code and link on her Instagram stories for a GHD discount - says with code and link could be up to 27% off. Code is STACEY5, not sure if you need to use the actual link on her stories or if you can just go direct to the GHD website and get the same deal

FluffyFluffMonster · 19/11/2022 13:01

It's posted on the beauty advent thread that the flannels advent is reduced from £235 to £119! The products look amazing.

VeruccaSalty · 19/11/2022 13:07

Disappointing about Candy Kittens but not surprising. I ordered same thing. Let me know if you find a suitable gift box for it please, i am crap at presentation

WhatDoWeDo2023 · 19/11/2022 13:07

Thank you for the Ugg link

im looking for a mens wallet with an air tag and car holder if anyone can recommend?

IsThisIt2021 · 19/11/2022 13:11

My DS1 (11 and he has autism, buses and trains are his thing) is asking for bus and train timetables amongst other bus & train things (nightmare!) No amount of looking around here as brought any timetables to the surface and the local main bus company have said they aren’t printing any at the moment.

Aside from EBay can anyone else think of anywhere I could try, for anything bus/train related but especially timetables.
Thank you!

IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile · 19/11/2022 13:17

@FluffyFluffMonster My dd would love it if still available?

Beautifulsunflowers · 19/11/2022 13:21

Has anyone managed to use the timberland discounts posted by @Georgieporgie29 as I can’t input the codes!

FluffyFluffMonster · 19/11/2022 13:22

@IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile sure if you inbox me your details. Not sure how much postage will be but I'll send it Monday and let you know.

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 19/11/2022 13:22

Is this it, if I see any bus timetables around, I will grab them.
I'm in my 40s now and still have the bits and bobs like that I enjoyed collecting as an autistic school-aged kid.
Mostly about computing, for me.
It reminds me how happy it made me.

user1466167893 · 19/11/2022 13:22

@IsThisIt2021 not sure where you are but do you have any local small railways/steam railways? Just thinking that they are usually run by people with lots of interest and they may have some, but they'd definitely know where to look??

FluffyFluffMonster · 19/11/2022 13:22

I can't see it being much and I'll reuse a box I already have to send it in.

FunWithFlags81 · 19/11/2022 13:23

@IsThisIt2021 have you tried going direct to the bus company customer services and asking them to send you a hard copy of their timetable? Or I’m sure I’ve seen them in the library?

Yeknom · 19/11/2022 13:26

@IsThisIt2021 have you tried the London Transport Museum?

Have you checked the London Transport Museum store? I also have a bus/ train obsessed DS of a similar age and have found some good stuff on there, including London Bus Top Trumps which was a big hit last Christmas!
My DS also enjoys the Bus Yearbook which is published each year, I bought him several old ones from eBay and he got some cheaply from our local transport museum shop too.

@IsThisIt2021 Depending on where in the country you are, there's bus heritage days where sellers have stalls with all sorts! There's one in Manchester, although it may have been already. I've been to a couple with my asd son in St Helens merseyside at the bus museum. Last time I was there one of the stall holders was telling me about the "big fair" in Manchester. I can't remember where in Manchester he said it was though sorry.

LemonFrosting · 19/11/2022 13:29

@IsThisIt2021 apologies don't know why previous post is in bold! There's a bus magazine subscription too. Or even I've bought back copies in bundles off ebay for cheap, look brand new as they're well looked after.

Has anyone come across a bargainous sit for personalised jewellery and/or Hollywood mirrors. My 13 year old DD has a list that could rival a millionaire, my 9 year old DS however "doesn't mind". Not sure which is more infuriating Grin

Have you tried not on the high street and Etsy. I’ve seen some lovely pieces on there. I don’t doubt cheaper than the Stacey sight but to be still some beauties.they have birth stones ones, engraved, linked hearts, engraved bangles etc all sorts.

@NormaSnickers may I ask what the yearbooks are like please? I've googled but only showing front covers and no detail of the inside. Are there any pictures or is it all writing? I'm wondering if it'll be any good for my 4 year old bus enthusiast!!!
