Poorly phrased 🙈 I meant could you give him the cash and get him to build it himself? Most of the gamers I know have built their own pc from YouTube tutorials and then they can upgrade bits as they work out what they need to be better. Generally cheaper too. Reckon if you started a thread on here a few people could tell you where to look for ballpark costs and starting points.

@Neednewfloor I agree with @BluOcty we got given the hape wooden one, it’s difficult to use as it’s so precarious it falls over all the time, and there’s not really enough in the set to make it different every time, and the sets are so expensive as to make buying extra bits off-putting.
Ive asked someone to buy my kids a Galt plastic one for Christmas, I think we’ll get a lot more use out of it. And they’re about half the price of the Hape ones for twice as many pieces.

We also have a set of hubelino, they’re tracks/channels that are compatible with duplo and Lego. They’re not cheap, but they are really great quality and if you already have plenty of Lego then you can make nearly endless combinations.

@MsMiaWallace Just perserverance i think . It comes and goes randomly. Ive had no luck adding it via the app so had the web page open on my phone and just kept randomly checking the other sellers part throughout the day. Just managed to get but at first it said failed to add to basket so just tried again as soon as add to basket came back up. Good luck
