I only buy for my DP now that's all sorted.
My adult kids get money. If they decide to come for day l will get something for them to unwrap as well.
The rest of my family and friends have agreed not to bother with presents so a relaxed Christmas for for me me.

Inyournewdress · 11/11/2022 17:23

i have bought one thing. So, the rest….but I don’t know how many that will be as I don’t have a set target. Usually make a rough list but not thought about it yet. To be honest I need to streamline the process as I just have not got time for Christmas this year. It’s just a bloody nuisance at the moment but hopefully I will get more into the spirit.

That sounds so nice!

All of them.

Remembrance Sunday, St Andrew's Day and Advent yet to come. I'll start in December.

Musicaltheatremum · 11/11/2022 17:26

All of them. I have holiday early December so will start then.

MoominPants · 11/11/2022 17:27

All finished here. Wrapping starts Monday. Not smug, had no choice this year but to spread the cost. Plus, I love Christmas!!

Inyournewdress · 11/11/2022 17:28

In my family people usually start sending wish lists around December the 19th so if I get too far ahead they will get a shock.

psuedocream3 · 11/11/2022 17:36

Presents for my husband.
Stocking fillers for at least 2 children.
Scooter and helmet/pads for middle child
Helmet for eldest child
A few craft kits for the other two middle children.
Presents for my Mum.

And stressing how I'm going to afford it.

LynneBenfield · 11/11/2022 17:38

All of them. I don’t start until December.

itsnotdeep · 11/11/2022 17:43

All of them.

TangledWebofMincemeatDeception · 11/11/2022 17:47

1 for each of my children.

1 for DH.

1 for me! If I find what I want... Xmas Smile

ThreeRingCircus · 11/11/2022 17:48

2 toothbrushes for DDs stockings (tradition) but other than that am all done. That's only because DH buys for all his side of the family though.... I don't think he's started!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/11/2022 17:54

Couple of things for my adult DC Dec 1st Bags ( they get pyjamas/robe/underwear/sweets/toiletries ) all essentials they use anyway .

DS Birthday is in December too ( he likes money so not buyng him stuff he doesn't want)

Trip with DD up to Oxford Street for some clothes and a mooch at the lights in December .

DH picks something online , most likely I will too .

Some clothes for DMum .

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 11/11/2022 17:56

All of them, I’m usually Mrs Christmas but I can’t get into it this year as I’m too stressed with work. I’m getting a back dated pay rise this month though as I work for the Local Authority so I’ll just do it all in one go with (hopefully some of) that.

strawberry2017 · 11/11/2022 18:01

All finished and half wrapped, I'm not usually this organised but I've been saving all year and my husband should have had back surgery around now so I was trying to be prepared,

ChristmasCwtch · 11/11/2022 18:14

I’ve got a few more things to buy for DC. They’re in a Smyths basket, hoping for a Black Friday offer!!

I haven’t bought anything for DH yet. Still need to buy for my dad and BIL.

Everyone else is done. So basically I’m uninspired about buying boring things for growing men 😂

ChristmasCwtch · 11/11/2022 18:14

*grown men!!

TangledWebofMincemeatDeception · 11/11/2022 18:18

@ChristmasCwtch I read that as Smythson and thought, blimey that’s fancy for the DCs! Xmas Grin

MrsMontyD · 11/11/2022 18:20

I'm done, going to start wrapping next week,

I'm expecting to start radiotherapy in December so it needed doing early this year.

Fladdermus · 11/11/2022 18:22

I'm done. But only because we've decided not to do presents this year. We've booked an activity for the whole family to do together in the New Year instead.

Fritilleries · 11/11/2022 18:30

How is everyone affording this.

WaddleAway · 11/11/2022 18:40

Fritilleries · 11/11/2022 18:30

How is everyone affording this.

Put aside a little bit every month, like we do every year. Not been able to put away as much as usual this year so everyone getting less spent on them than usual.

IntrovertedPenguin · 11/11/2022 18:45

1 for my mum.

A few stocking fillers and 1 left for ds11.

To be fair I sat and did at 3am this morning online. 😂

nancydroo · 11/11/2022 18:47

Haven't bought any yet. Last minute purchases are my style

Lcb123 · 11/11/2022 18:47

Everything. It’s November. But don’t buy much - such a waste of money and the planet!
