God not a bloody voucher... they are always for awkward places I dont shop and never the right amount for anything I want (who can be arsed keeping track of how much is left on cards and Im not deliberately spend more just to use it).
Novelty games usually go down good as a generic gift and cheap, things like desktop duck shooting, poo head, whats that smell etc... stuff that can be used there and then as a fun group thing.
You'll never please everyone though, example based on me:
I have no use for:
Vouchers (as above)
Creams (very personal)
Masks (im not that type, I have 2 face scrubs that are more than enough)
Socks (dont wear them)
Plants (do not buy me another living thing I have to care for)
Bauble (have plenty and they all go together)
Book (dyslexic so cant read block texts)
Mug (got to many and dont use them)
Defuser (toxic to cats)
Nail polish (got loads, rarely wear it and only wear 1 kind)
and I have allergies so food is risky.
I wouldnt mind:
Alcohol (whiskey, rum maybe vodka or irish cream but not wine or beer/larger/ale)
Vanilla or coconut candle (nothing spiced as its an instant migraine)
Stationary is dull but fine
Its actually pretty hard to get a generic gift for a stranger, £10 plenty if you know someone (example: Barbara might love sheep themed anything but is teetotal, Susan might be crazy for fluffy toe socks but hate scary thing, Sarah might be obsessed with stranger things but is vegan, Caroline could have a thing for posh gin but isnt an animal lover type and Louise is a foody who wouldnt be seen dead in non designer clothing... be pretty hard to mix and match gifts among them blindly even though you could find something for each of them indervidually) but imposible blindly.
