I suspect I'm not the only one who does taste tests in the run up to Christmas.I

So far I've tried

Lidl mince pies, pastry is fantastic crisp with a good flavour , let down by the filling just tastes like a mixed fruit pie
Tesco bog standard, pastry is far too crumbly it disintegrated as I took it out of its cup. The filling was much better than Lidl's with a good boozy taste.

Lidl salt and pepper mixed nuts with olives. I've never had crispy olives before but the were a revelation.
Tesco salted caramel party mix. Loving this, it has nuts, pretzel bits, chocolate covered nuts, Malteser type things , chocolate buttons. A must have.

If you've tried anything perhaps you could say what they were and what you thought of them

Updating to say so far Asdas Extra Special Mince Pies are best by a mile - tasty pastry and filling is fruity and not dry.

M&S chicken and Christmasslaw sandwich is v nice. The red cabbage adds the Christmas hit! ( I don't normally like coleslaw). Has anyone tried their Christmas sushi?
I enjoy festive lunches at this time of year!

My favourite mince pies so far have been Waitrose brown butter and cognac. Very nice and could pass for homemade

The Asda Irish Cream topped mince pies are heavenly. Gorgeous, regular mince pie base and filling with a Baileys flavoured butter cream on top.

M&S Frangipane Mince Pies are nice as a change ( I love almond)
Don't think they'll lure me away from the Sainsbury Bakery Shortcrust ones though .

Dairy Milk Snowman.
They come in a multipack of deliciousness.
Absolutely gorgeous as they melt in your mouth with a hot cup of coffee/ tea.
I highly recommend them.
Will repurchase. 🤞Tesco still has them

Tesco sweet and salty pretzels shaped like Christmas trees. Very easy to eat a bag by yourself!

M&S Pigs in Blankets crisp/nibbles. Essentially bacon flavour but the different shapes are different textures and I think it’d be a nice drinking snack.
