Nativity Set

I'm looking for a Nativity scene with figures that aren't glued down so you can move them around that includes the stable. It's for my dd6 so open minded whether it is traditional or more toy-like. Online searches are drawing a blank. Anyone seen any nice ones? Thanks!

I have no need for another nativity set, but I now really want a felt mouse nativity!

Ahhhh I love a god nativity set! About ten years ago I was given a massive monstrosity from Costco, pretty sure it's a commercial set up as it takes up half my dining room table. Over the years the kids and visitors have added things to it when they have visited. One of the wise me. Had his hand snapped off and so somebody screwed a hook in its place. A small person misplaced Jesus and their cousin replaced him with a key chain donkey Kong. And we have pet dinosaurs dotted around it too 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

We also have my DH’s childhood one, which we got when his mum died, for some reason the bulb above the stable was replaced by a red one ,which makes me think of Amsterdam

That IS my set! - colours slightly different on the kings, and I only had two sheep, I'll have to find a knitter!

I've got a Playmobil one. It's fab.

I’m going to make one this year - I’m going to get a little bit of hay Or dry grass , make a hut out of a cardboard box paint it and put it on top of the grass, then use some of my daughters Little toy plastic animals And whatever figurines we have lying around in the toybox and I’ll probably use an LOL dol little sister as the baby Jesus x

Playmobil is a contender. I feel a knitted or felt one could be the way to go. Also a red light Amsterdam one is obviously top 3.

We have the complete knitted set. My Grandma knitted them years ago and I love them 🙂

We’ve got an older Aldi one and love it.
Ours are basically the same figures, but our humans are cylindrical, and when small people play with them they roll all over the place! Flat looks like a wise design choice.
(We haven’t lost tiny baby Jesus to the hoover yet…)

I will admit to collecting a big winter village collection over the years. We have moved house during the summer so I have to establish a new Christmas location which is very exciting 🤣 ds10 and I have already had discussions on this subject and I have already ordered my new 9 foot tree. I wanted to hide it in the attic till closer to Christmas but the postman just laughed as it’s so heavy

I made one from little wooden peg people a few years ago.

We have the playmobile one and I was thinking exactly the same! Haha.

I also have a Playmobil one. The children kept trying to play with it but it's mine! It must be about 10 years old now and going strong.

We have the JoJo one and love it its been well played with for 3 years and doing amazing.

I thought Lakeland were discontinuing that one! I'm very pleased they haven't though, it's lovely.

@guffaux, if you do find a knitter, the pattern is in the Jean Greenhowe Christmas Treasures booklet. It’s not difficult. Rest of the set is in the Christmas Special ditto.

I did not long ago find a pattern for an ox, but unlike the JG patterns, which do turn out exactly like the pics as long as you follow her meticulously detailed instructions, my ox was a sad disappointment. Looks too pissed to stand up properly. 🙁
