Last year I think it launched on 29th or 28th so maybe they are just getting ready to go live? Sainsburys is also gearing up and so is Waitrose as both are allowing booking of the slots now which they weren't earlier in the week, they haven't put the food on yet but I wouldn't be surprised if it's by the end of the week.

Arghh I still can't checkout, keep getting Generic Error

I got timed out went in again accidentally doubled my order! Sorted that out and it went through phew!!!

I left it for a bit and so it had kept my basket but logged me out. When I logged back in it went through smoothly. So maybe log out and then back in again and see if that works?

Thanks! Just checked out, I think they must have been going by store name as mine is always at the bottom of the list (W) and my sister (T) managed to do hers 20 mins before mine. Relieved thats one thing off the list.

Spotted it first thing this morning and got my desired slot and ordered what I wanted. Feels quite good to have that sorted and mostly paid for already.

Did this earlier. Seems easier to add stuff to the order this time round.

Is it not really frustrating that you can’t order everything you need though? I want it just done and dusted through M&S but instead I’m ordering a few bits there, but can’t pre order things like carrots, pots, horseradish etc etc

I did get excited seeing the booking email, but nothing really there for me!

Seemed a very minimal selection, especially party food - is there normally more? I've never looked before, but definitely have seen about 30 kinds of party bits in M&S in store in previous years.

I'm going to get my stuff as normal I think, combo of Lidl and Morrison plus ocado if I'm feeling fancy.

I’ve ordered some stuff but I agree with @WontLetThoseRobotsDefeatMe that the selection doesn’t look great this year. Perhaps more stuff will be offered later, now it’s easier to add things?

Thanks for the warning. A big difference this year. We always go for a Pembrokeshire bronze crown which they don’t have this year and I can’t bring myself to spend £114 on a whole turkey. I’d want someone to come and do the dishes for that price. No Black Forest Gateau either, which isn’t usual.

I have just looks as was after a lobster starter

£25 gif tempura prawns - they must be huge as most shores sell 12 for £5 sort or price

I agree the selection has gone downhill. I first thought this last year and was sure I had been able to order much more previously. I think it all went wrong when they linked up with Ocado. Now you can’t order any party food for collection in store and instead, have to hope you can get a delivery date with Ocado to coincide with whatever occasion you’re planning. They’ve lost me as a customer because of this.

Ocado Christmas slots have started to open today, I have put £100 worth in my basket to keep my slot open.

I’ve gone for beef wellington this year and the lamb.

they didn’t do party food online last year either. I agree not many desserts. I’ll buy that separately and cheese.
