Depends on what it sayds on the packet. However I would probably get it out of the freezer into the fridge tomorrow am, OR I would get it out Tomorrow night and leave it in the kitchen to thaw overnight IYKWIM

I got mine out and put it in the fridge yesterday.

I have no idea if this is correct or not, I am just following my mums instructions LOL.

Mines a bigun. To feed 12. It says defrost atleast 48 hours before. I'd be getting it out now.

I'd get it out now

Isn't it best to also let it reach room temperature before putting in oven?

can you really cook from frozen?

XmastimePelvicfloorsandWine · 23/12/2007 21:48

garage?

wethreekingsofORINOCOare · 23/12/2007 21:51

I'd take it out now. We were supposed to be having a roast chicken tonight - but it still wasn't defrosted after 24 hours in the fridge and 7 hours in the kitchen

actually what if it gets eaten by mice?

We are surrounded by fields

Okay what I want to know is what is a turkey crown.

I thought at first it was the red thing on top of its head, but that wouldn't be a very substantial meal, and anyway isn't that only cockerels?

What is a turkey crown then?

XmastimePelvicfloorsandWine · 23/12/2007 21:52

Just breast meat ,no bones

OP posts:
ggirlsbells · 23/12/2007 21:53

I'd try and seal it up so the smell doesn't attract rats, but I am particularly paranoid since having all my veg eaten by mice in the garage.

I am assuming mice don't eat meat...do rats?
rats eat anything don't they?

It must fit in your fridge!

WiFi · 23/12/2007 21:54

Just thinking about what a fantastic table centrepiece a frozen turkey with lots of little frozen mice hanging off it would make.

I would say that, certainly where I reside, my garage is colder than my fridge right now, so personally I wouldn't be putting my Turkey in there.

XmastimePelvicfloorsandWine · 23/12/2007 21:56

lol @ frozen mice hanging off turkey.

Last time we had mice in the garage they ate everything, ornaments ,books, fishing stuff, bed chair etc ..............mind you they also ate the 10 kg of dp's Bolies

OP posts:
WiFi · 23/12/2007 21:57

Ok what are your DP's bolies - is this a new thing that I have not yet heard of?????

XmastimePelvicfloorsandWine · 23/12/2007 21:58

yes ggril rats will eat anything, i am still traumatised ever since i saw a rat drag a huge pigeon from the riverbank by Tesco and kill it and drag it into the bushes to eat it.

XmastimePelvicfloorsandWine · 23/12/2007 21:58

lol Wifi ,dp's fishing bait.

OP posts:

OK I give up, bogies & bollox are coming to mind, and if your DP had 10kg of bogies or bollox I would pay good money so see that..........
