The joy and anticipation has been carrying me through the past few months. Now it's all over I feel flat and low and tearful.

Anyone else feeling the same and any ideas for getting over this feeling?

I’ve felt a bit like this in the last few days.

We’re skint, have been ill for months and it feels like there’s nothing to look forward to.

DH bought me theatre tickets for a show in Jan but that’s now been cancelled (Wales). I think it’s the fact that we can’t make any concrete plans as it’s all up in the air.

I have decided to plan family days instead at home so it doesn’t matter about weather/restrictions, we can still do them. We’re going to have a Lego day, building, playing and watching Lego movies. I’ve also earmarked a book day where we’ll have a tea party, read some books and watch some Julia Donaldson shows and The Tiger who came to tea. Im hoping if I have something definite (and free) to look forward to it won’t feel so blue!

I absolutely love the build up to Christmas, it’s by far my favourite time of year, so when it’s all over, I feel very low. If it was acceptable, I’d live in the build-up phase forever 😂

Luckily, one of the DC has a birthday in January, so we always have something fun to look forward to and plan for.

@Etinoxaurus it was amazing. On day 2iso, shortly having PCR's. Itching to get out and keep busy. Desperate for a country walk xxn
