Getting Lego, Switch game, duvet, HP things, there's more but I've forgotten and DH has done all the wrapping.

The thing I haven't been able to get that she mentioned is one of those magic flannels, have hunted high and low to no avail (and left too late for eBay).

Zoflorabore · 23/12/2021 12:31

Dd is 10, 11 in February and is getting an iPhone 12 mini as her main present, she chose the colour and knows she’s getting it.

She also has-
A Polaroid camera and 40 film
Nat Geo rocks and stones set
Anime costume and wig
Hello Kitty Ramen bag (£60) I could cry
Hello Kitty aeroplane ( for aesthetics 😳 )
Lush gift box- Snow Fairy

And I can’t recall the rest. Her stocking has goodies and chocolates, a necklace, fluffy socks, 2 board games, would you rather book for 11 year olds, bath bombs, sheet face masks and lots more.

It has been hard getting surprises for her as she hates them and wants to know everything just as I did when I was a little girl!

Zoflorabore · 23/12/2021 12:33

Oh and Ariana Grande Cloud perfume.
That is a surprise!

AliceMcK · 23/12/2021 13:51

My DD is 9.9 and is still really into baby dolls and Barbie dolls. She is getting a Baby Alive from me and doll bunk beds from her dad. Her brother has got her a Skipper doll. My DBF has got her some Playmobil. She has dolls clothes in her stocking. I have also got her a few more grown up bits she will like - LED strip lights, face masks and some earrings.

My DD is only 8 but already passed toys really, Sad but I suspect that is because she is the youngest of 4 and the DSs interests rub off a bit. Also, being the only girl means she doesn't have any likeminded sibling to play with, and she doesn't play alone. We do have lots of playdates and she plays with toys then!

DD is very crafty and likes to be a mini-mum. She's just had her birthday and got:
Nice outfit from Boden
Adopt a Panda from WWF
A Reading Kindle
Harry Potter Dobble
A new dressing gown
Bedding she'd asked for

For Christmas she has:
Cuddle Cushion
Basketball hoop and ball
Box of gemstones/rocks
Books
Years subscription to National Geographic kids magazine
A Squishmallow
Spirograph
A hamper of snuggling stuff with a hot water bottle, snuggly socks, bath bombs etc.

Bushkin · 23/12/2021 20:32

Friends lego
Nike air max
Switch game
Yoga mat
Couple of ‘family games’
Pyjamas & slippers
Nail polish
Bath bombs
Books
Squishmallow

Moonlaserbearwolf · 23/12/2021 20:36

Mine is most excited about getting some clothes (which she chose on a pre-Christmas shopping trip).
She's also getting some murder mystery books, couple of games, bath stuff, and jewellery.
Feels very different from a year ago. Luckily not asking for a phone...yet.

Moonlaserbearwolf · 23/12/2021 20:40

This thread is v useful for Birthday ideas - thanks everyone!

Innatenvi · 23/12/2021 20:41

Sports leggings - she lives in them, so she chose them
Drawing pens for her tablet
Primark perfume
Jewellery
Chocolate making experience
Bluetooth speaker for her phone
Britney Spears cd (she's just starting getting into Britney)
Guiness book of records
Various lip balms, makeup bits, chocolate etc

I’ve seen those magic flannels in all the supermarkets I’ve been to recently, although they were quite young designs.

@UndertheCedartree Your dd sounds very much like mine and she is exactly the same age. I'm making the most of her still wanting toys to play with as I doubt it will last much longer.
