Any families having to now isolate over Christmas?

I am positive and finish isolation on 23rd, but we have two small children who haven’t had it yet, neither has my partner, so we have cancelled visiting both our families. I’m a bit disappointed and worried kids will be bored, but also quite excited to not have to stress about going anywhere, and also watching Eastenders live in peace! Anyone else in the same boat?

My brother and fiancée are positive.
All other siblings and father live in each other’s pockets. I’m waiting for them to all get knocked down.

I’ve wanted to cancel with them for weeks but am a wimp lol
@xxKatie9806xx for me it was july and November so four months - it was over 90days
Oh of course that’s over 90 days. 90 days seems longer! Ok that’s terrifying because my husband had it in July and me in November and I assumed that would give is at least six months immunity. Not good news!

My son tested positive on a lateral flow yesterday with symptoms.
His symptoms started (I think) on weds so we're out for Christmas.
I'm absolutely gutted as my mum was coming who I haven't seen in 4 months, I had everything planned and was so looking forward to it 😔
My instinct is to try and avoid getting it myself but now it's happened it's probably best to get it out of the way.
He keeps apologising but he has nothing to apologise for, its just a shit situation all round.

I'm putting on a brave face but I'm so upset.
I hope everyone is ok and gets off lightly with it

I hope you manage to enjoy Christmas

Just wanted to join the Shit Times Xmas thread!!

Hope everyone's doing as well as they can.

DD1 tested positive last week, due out of isolation boxing day. Only place she'd been was school 😶

Family due down for Xmas.

DD2 tested positive Wednesday!

Family have now cancelled coming down, was so looking forward to it and had bought all the food. Nothing can be frozen! Not that I'd have the room in freezer anyway 🙄

DH and i still testing negative.

So decided if DD1 tests negative on lf we will let her out xmas day as sod having both kids stuck in their bedrooms xmas day!!

Just so so shit.

But at least they feel absolutely fine and aren't ill, so lucky in that regard.

Waiting for myself and DH to catch it now....

Such bad luck

Absolutely agree about family but I wouldn’t isolate either DD over Christmas. Surely they can sit together at the other end of the table/room. You can distance.
