Hi have put these on my list for DC 8 and 10!
Do I need to pay £110 for the real thing or do people have and rate any knockoff similar items on Amazon ?

I’ve bought knock off, no way I’m paying the real prices. Plus there are far more options with the fake ones. I’ve never felt a real one so can’t compare but the ones I bought off Amazon are soft and cuddly enough for my DDs.
Midlifemission · 03/12/2021 14:37

Thanks @AliceMck this was my thinking !
The more interesting patterns are sold out on oodie too .
I would shell out if the quality is there but not sure kids will be that discerning !

I got DD a snuddie from primark and she loves it, I have an adult one from there too and it's lovely and warm

EduCated · 03/12/2021 14:51

I ended up with a real one as a present and it is really lovely, but I’m still not sure I could justify the price.

BarbaraofSeville · 03/12/2021 14:51

Isn't that the 'full' price that no-one ever pays, a bit like £19 for a Domino's pizza?

Here] you can get two for £109 so I'm sure you can get them for about £50-60 each if you pick the right offer?

I got a Kuddly which has the same sort of marketing strategy. It was £49 and I read some reviews that said they were just as nice, possibly a bit nicer in fact.

I don't think you need to pay £110 each for these at all, although the Oodies do seem to be permanently sold out, but that's probably another facet of their marketing strategy.

NCnotmyusualone · 03/12/2021 14:51

Primark have adult and children Christmas and Disney snuddies. They are a good deal cheaper.

Feilin · 03/12/2021 14:58

Primark Snuddie here for me and DD. Bought 2 for the grannies this xmas too

superstar84 · 03/12/2021 14:59

Next do really lovely ones, I've got sizes 7-10 and 11-13 at home if you need any measurements

The kids love them!

SlipperyLizard · 03/12/2021 15:01

I’ve got a Comfy from Costco, and love it. I felt the primark snuddie recently and it was nowhere near as thick as the Comfy, but that might not matter depending on how cold your house is! Not come across a real life Oodie to compare

If you look they do £25 off and 2 for 1....I just bought 2 for £118

Use the code BLACKFRIDAY

I got a cheap one for about £20 for my teen last year and worried I should have got the real deal, I just couldn't bring myself to pay so much when it came to it. But I can confirm it has had a lot of wear and is still being worn regularly so cheap worked out fine.

Fairylights25 · 03/12/2021 16:27

Worn every day but STILL not worth anything like the amount they ask for it. Cheap ones from anywhere will be just as good.

HappySonHappyMum · 03/12/2021 16:29

I have a Primark one - best thing ever - no need to pay full price for an Oodie - I'd have felt ripped off if I had!

Thanks @BarbaraofSeville I should have been clearer it was £110 for 2- not each - that really would be steep. Great to hear it sounds like everyone is just happy with cheaper versions . Not sure I can get to Primark and not much stock in Next website . Will take a look on Amazon. Thanks all !

Weve got primark and an authentic one, the difference in quality/thickness is quite obvious. Definitely wouldn’t pay full price though

TheChosenTwo · 03/12/2021 19:26

A friend bought dd an oodie for her birthday, she’s had so much use out of it.
I’m not sure the others are the same weight which dd finds beneficial for relaxing (in the same vein as a weighted blanket I guess?), she says she really sleeps well with it.
Worth it to her.

SleepWoof · 03/12/2021 19:33

I ordered two adult sized Oodies a month ago but received an email last week to say that they couldn't deliver before Xmas. I've now ordered and received a couple of cheaper ones from Amazon but still waiting on my refund.

Hockeyboysmum · 03/12/2021 19:37

Anothet v9te for kuddly here. 2 for £89

LittleMissA · 03/12/2021 19:41

I got a comfy for my daughter from Costco last year and she wears it virtually non stop! It's a good weight/thickness and was less than £20. If she was fully grown I might consider a proper oodie but def not until then!

BusySittingDown · 03/12/2021 19:49

DD2 has asked for one for Christmas so we got her and DD1 ones from Next. They seem nice - they're bloody huge! We got DD2 age 11-13, which will be massive on her as she's short Grin. We got DD1 age 14-16, which will be massive on her also, even though she's 14 and 5' 9!

hels71 · 03/12/2021 21:35

DD and I have ones from Amazon and we love them. They are brilliant in our house with no heating....

Stokey · 03/12/2021 22:11

@SleepWoof that concerns me. I ordered 2 for the DDs 2 weeks ago in a Black Friday deal and have heard nothing since. My boss ordered one the same week and hers has been delivered. Note thinking I should pop to Costco!

BusySittingDown · 04/12/2021 06:41

Scrolling down this page there are about 5 Oodie adverts for 50% off! I don't know if it's just me?

Ouchiebum · 04/12/2021 08:14

Has anyone got a link to the next one? I can’t find it on website. Thanks!

LethargicActress · 04/12/2021 08:17

I bought a cheap kids one from Amazon for myself because I didn’t want the sleeves to be as long and bulky as they look on the adult sized ones. It is very warm and cosy, I’m glad I didn’t pay out for an over priced one.
