Hi have put these on my list for DC 8 and 10!
Do I need to pay £110 for the real thing or do people have and rate any knockoff similar items on Amazon ?

@Ouchiebum the nexr one is www.next.co.uk/g794507s2/M12760#M12760

I bought the size 14-16 for DD but its massive, (reviews now say would fit an adult size 18) far too big for me let alone her, so just ordered in the smaller size and picking up this weekend.

winnieanddaisy · 04/12/2021 09:15

@Thecatisboss that's the point of them . They are worn as oversized, they're supposed to be huge .
I ordered one from Oodie for my DGDs 10th birthday at the end of December but have had an email to say it won't be here in time . With that in mind I've just ordered a cheaper one from next just so that she has something to unwrap from me . Hopefully the Oodie will arrive eventually.

I got a family Oodie bundle last year for kids/step kids, think it worked out at around £40 each. They are amazing. SD also got a fake one and it's not as good.

Honestly I think they are worth it. I'm wearing one now Grin my children pretty much live in them and they wash well too.

I got Amazon knock offs for my DC last year and real ones for me/DH. This was A mistake as the quality difference was quite apparent! They are having their own real ones this year. I love mine and DH has lived in his - pretty sure we've made the money back on our heating bill....

SunInMyEyes · 04/12/2021 10:24

Last year DH bought me a cheapo version from Amazon and we bought DS a Kuddly. There really isn't that much difference between the two. DS's is better quality and has a brand tag on the outer seam but otherwise they've both stood up well to wearing through winter and are still going strong. Personally I'd save my money and get the cheaper version.
I've got DH one of these for Christmas. Ordered last week and arrived within three days - excellent service.

The reviews I saw indicated that Kuddly were better than Oodies, we have gone for them this year x

Herecomesthesun70 · 04/12/2021 11:41

Got one for my DD from living social. It's fine. I wear it sometimes too

Cotton55 · 04/12/2021 11:43

My kids have the ones from Dunnes for €20. Really lovely and fluffy. But you might not be in Ireland!

CaptainCaveMum · 04/12/2021 11:51

@Midlifemission this one is still soft and fluffy after a year’s wear and washing

BlowDryRat · 04/12/2021 11:54

We all have cheap ones here and they're fine. I haven't seen a 'real' one to compare but the ones we have are cosy and well-worn!

Thanks this looks great as my DD would love the purple !
One size only would that work on a 10 year old and an 8 year old ?

They're supposed to be massive so you can tuck your knees in when sitting down so the same size will fit a big range of kids. Primark ones are s/m or m/l and that spans the whole age range 4-16. DD has the s/m and is a tall 7yr old, it comes to her knees.

CaptainCaveMum · 04/12/2021 17:10

@Midlifemission My DC is under 5 ft and it is at their knees. So I’d guess for the 10 year old it is fine, but might be very large on your 8 year old.

Midlifemission · 06/12/2021 10:26

Thanks @CaptainCaveMum have ordered one for DD and will wait for something smaller for DS!

I ordered two real ones months ago - got an email last week to say they won't be delivered until the new year so I've asked for a refund - I bought them so long ago I'd sort of forgotten and she has more than enough other presents so I'd rather get the £104 back!

drspouse · 06/12/2021 12:24

I bought Kozy for my two who are 7 and 9 because the length of the Oodie is taller than my DD and I didn't want her tripping over!

BitBroken · 06/12/2021 12:26

I have a real oodie and a primark and I wear my primark more Blush

NotJustACigar · 06/12/2021 13:36

I bought a second hand real oodie on Vinted for £20 in perfect condition. Worth keeping an eye out if you don't mind buying used.

Stokey · 10/12/2021 10:52

Has anyone else heard from Oodie recently? I ordered in November and got the confirmation email but nothing more. I'll buy the Amazon one if they're not coming but want to know!
