I'm seriously reconsidering my engagement, I just sent DFiance the first draft of my cheeseboard order and he said to lose the Brie, I'm not sure it can even be Christmas without Brie !!!

What's on your list?

A Stilton, a charcoal cheese, a crumbly Lancashire, a brie (deffo!), a fruity cheese and a nutty cheese and one other as there should always be an odd number ...whatever takes your fancy whilst shopping ...maybe a smoked one.

AuntieMarys · 30/11/2021 13:20

All of vodkas...plus an alpine, manchego, epoisses and wensleydale. I have 8 different chutneys and 16 boxes of different.
crackers. We like cheese 🧀

Does no-one else like a good "Chevre"?

AdaColeman · 30/11/2021 13:32

Something blue, something goat, something sheep, something runny!
I love a ripe Brie, stand your ground OP!

DiamondBright · 30/11/2021 15:29

This is my draft list

Smoked Blue Stilton
Dovedale Blue
Wookey Hole Cheddar
Cranberry in Wensleydale
Traditional French Brie
Smoked Lancashire

I had considered a goat or sheep cheese, I'll have another look at the list.

The Sheep and Goat milk cheeses are all in this Continental section, except Roquefort which is on the French section.

I'm ordering a cheeseboard from my local cheese shop, it'll be chaos in the last few days before Christmas so best to order in advance.

Sort cheese and soft blue cheese are two of the things I will miss this Christmas but I am currently 19 weeks pregnant. Will also miss port with the cheese board. Hope everyone enjoys theirs!

MrsT84 · 30/11/2021 15:46

*soft not sort!

PennyFarting · 30/11/2021 15:52

Lose the brie?!?! Is he MAD?

Sure that wasn't a typo for 'Love the brie'?

PennyFarting · 30/11/2021 15:53

Disclamer: I did our cheese order yesterday and ordered 14 cheeses! My opinion on cheese is not to be entirely trusted Blush

MrsPnut · 30/11/2021 15:57

I'm about to do our cheese order and one of my favourites is Delice de Bourgogne. www.thecheesesociety.co.uk/product/delice-de-bourgogne/

We do live on cheese for the week between Christmas and New Year though.

I only have British cheeses on my chessboard.

Organic too.

Plus some membrillo and/or medlar jelly.

Oatcakes and Bath Olivers.

No fruit, very naff. Especially grapes.
