I'm seriously reconsidering my engagement, I just sent DFiance the first draft of my cheeseboard order and he said to lose the Brie, I'm not sure it can even be Christmas without Brie !!!

What's on your list?

I'm missing port too. And baileys. And champagne.

Im pregnant so no brie 😭

That means I can eat twice as much baked camembert to make up for it, right??

3 times as much as you need to eat baby's share too

Cheddar
Stilton
Camembert

For those pregnant ladies missing Brie, this British similar style cheese is pasteurised so is fine to eat without cooking it. The cheese society has a filter for pasteurised cheeses so you can pick with confidence.

@Tulipomania

I only have British cheeses on my chessboard.

Organic too.

Plus some membrillo and/or medlar jelly.

Oatcakes and Bath Olivers.

No fruit, very naff. Especially grapes.

Well obviously a Brie would be far too runny for chess. You need a nice aged cheddar for that

😂 @FelicityBeedle

My preorder has Baron Bigod, Colston Bassett, Harrogate Blue, Mrs Kirkham’s Lancashire, Waterloo and Hebden goats cheese.

I don’t like adulterated cheese, so no one’s with bits in. That fruit takes up valuable space that could be filled with more cheese

You are my new favourite person!

A cheeseboard isn't a cheeseboard without Brie, baked Camembert and some kind of blue cheese Grin oh and a nice caramelised onion chutney!!

I agree, but Cranberry in Wensleydale I allow at Christmas because it's my daughter's favourite and it's festive.

Love cheese with bits in especially ginger! Also no cheeseboard is complete without a Castillo soft cheese pineapple ring (or 3).

LTB

nowahousewife · 02/12/2021 15:05

You need some truffle cheese in there OP. Either a truffled porcorino or truffle Brie. If he doesn’t like these then LTB.

tallywag · 02/12/2021 17:12

Tomme de Savoie for me please.

handmademitlove · 04/12/2021 08:30
