@flowersforyou I’m looking for a sunset lamp too, found one that looks good on Amazon which uses a remote, rather than having to change the film discs, I’ve signed up to Amazon photos and hopefully getting the £10 credit soon to use against it.

My JL stuff arrived with most of it in a box and one fragile thing in there bubble wrapped, and the second package as a plastic bag around the item’s own box. I order a lot from JL and haven’t had anything broken before. Are they saying send it back and they’ll give you 30% off a new one due to the discount? Or just offering to give you 30% off the broken one? Because the former is probably reasonable but the latter definitely isn’t!

I originally said I didn't want to return it, because I thought it was a hazard to anyone unpacking it! So they suggested a 30% discount and I could keep the product. I have absolutely no use for a completely smashed mixing bowl, discounted or otherwise.

I'm happy to return it to them, if they really want it. It just seems very wasteful in terms of carriage costs, environmental packaging, and potential hazard to whoever unpacks it at the other end. I would just like a replacement.

I genuinely don't think it's intentional. I did have two boxes of chocolates previously they were very badly damaged in transit, and were refunded with no problems.

I need some ideas for 6.5 year old Dnephew. In the past I've bought Lego, Playmobil, kinetic sand and books. He likes art and craft, cars (my bro is a big petrol head - they camp a lot too and have a VW camper van), he was into Paw Patrol but not sure of he's too old for that now. Budget up to £30.
