  1. I have planned my Christmas dinner by planning to go to someone else’s house. Well done me.

Scoffed quality street and listened to Mariah. I regret nothing.

snugglyblanket · 22/11/2021 01:31

Erm, is it possible to watch too many Christmas movies?! Asking for a friend, who is probably pushing 100 points without a single mince pie (but plenty of florentines & Toffifees 😂 )

shivawn · 22/11/2021 01:55

2 points - watched 2 Christmas movies

HeartvsBrain · 22/11/2021 02:15

7 here. Started some shopping, watched a Christmas film, ate a mince pie and went to a lights switch on. Wondering whether next weekend is too early to leap full on into Christmas mode or if I will be restrained and wait until the first weekend in December?!

I listened to a Christmas carol.

17! Not totally mince pie related.

Do you get points for panicking about how much money you’ve already spent on Christmas presents while being simultaneously worried that you’ve not bought enough or evenly spread the gifts. If so I definitely get that one!

MrsLargeEmbodied · 22/11/2021 07:59

just this minute ordered a present for ds who lives abroad,

19 should be 27 this time next week!

ThursdayLastWeek · 22/11/2021 08:04
Mostly because I got to go to a light trail for free if I went early Grin I’m excited to get festive but also have enough self control to wait until December 1st
steppemum · 22/11/2021 08:07

I have started buying things
I watched a Christmas movie on daytime TV in October when I was ill.

Christmas music - I play in a brass band, we got our Christmas folders last week and started practising!

yes we are going to my brothers, so I don't need to plan

Mammma91 · 22/11/2021 08:11

1 - bought a £13 scooter on sale for 2 year old DS. Christmas has come round too quickly! I keep telling myself its too early for the tree - but secretly I am absolutely desperate to put it up! 😂

SydneySquare · 22/11/2021 08:14

1 and only because the couple of presents bought need posting.

Yes yes yes!
BellaTheDarkOverlord · 22/11/2021 08:18

I think I got around 20. I got quite a few tins if chocolates from neighbours and DD opened a few before I noticed.

How many Xmas films do I count if DD watches The Grinch 3 times a day for the last week Grin

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 22/11/2021 09:05

34 for your list, plus
5 for making the christmas cake (that includes making homemade kirsch to flavour it, soaking the fruit in 5 types of alcohol for a month, making the cake and then feeding it every week, hence the relatively high points)
2 for drying orange slices for decorations. It would have been 1 but it took me a good bit of research, tweaking and repeat batches to work out how to get them to not turn brown as they dried, so I'm giving myself double points cos I'm so pleased for getting it in the end Grin
1 point for getting wildly, disproportionately excited this morning because it was frosty
1 point for reading River Cottage Christmas and Nigel's Christmas Chronicles simultaneously

So 43 so far.

I would get the wrapping points but the kids scuppered my plans to do it while they were at school last week, by being sick. DD is finally gone back today but DS is still at home because his voice is completely gone. Pesky child, interfering with my Christmas activities, grumble grumble mutter...

stingofthebutterfly · 22/11/2021 09:11

1, but with 5 kids I'd be daft to have not started shopping by now.
