mummymayhem18 · 22/11/2021 19:24

Actually with the addition of making my Christmas cake it makes it 32 😂😂

mumpants · 22/11/2021 19:24

1

Rosebel · 22/11/2021 19:31

3 because I wore my Christmas jumper last night. Maybe I need to get organised.

caketiger · 22/11/2021 20:15

2 mince pies. 1 film - home alone. Some gifts bought. Nothing wrapped. Christmas song, spacemen came travelling listened to. Christmas Dinner planned. 9!

ApolloandDaphne · 22/11/2021 20:38
  1. I wore a Christmas jumper last week and I have started my shopping.
JustJoinedRightNow · 22/11/2021 20:49

Mine is 16. Had a crappy week feeling ill so spent days in bed watching Christmas films on Netflix. Buying and eating nearly all the quality street tub has pushed my score up too.

PeonyRose80 · 22/11/2021 20:54

20! quarter of that is mince pies!

WhatCanIDoNext · 22/11/2021 21:05

I scored 5.
1 for Christmas shopping started,
2 for having watched two Christmas films (Home Alone 2 and Mary Poppins - I assume that counts as Christmas?),
2 for chocolate stash.
I obviously need to crack on.

Hetyanni · 22/11/2021 21:09

@HollyandIvyandAllThingsYule

I forgot...I’m sure I also need extra points for already having brought out my winter/Christmas mugs. — we’ve moved house and our usual mugs no longer go with the aesthetic of our home and they were starting to really annoy me. So instead of buying different mugs just now, I decided to bring out the ones that would’ve come out on Dec 1st anyway.
5 extra points.

I've got 4 points. All mulled wine related 😂

Chunkymenrock · 22/11/2021 22:58

This thread gave me permission to start on the chocolate santas. Sad

CrazyBaubles · 22/11/2021 23:38

16 based on your op but I'm upping my score to 20 - 1 because I've bought a Christmas jumper, 1 because I've listened to A Christmas Carol on audible and another 2 for being organised enough to complete some Christmas crafts (3 cross stitch cards, a crochet Santa bag and a crochet cushion) Xmas Smile

Jumpingintochristmas · 23/11/2021 00:18

23 but over 50% is down to my Christmas film addiction Xmas Blush

EdgeOfTheSky · 23/11/2021 07:11

If I bought a tub of Celebrations in readiness, but then ate them , do I get the point?

1 for having started shopping
1 for having eaten one mince pie
4 glasses of mulled wine
1 for buying a tub of Celebrations (judges enquiry pending)

5 bonus points for anyone currently reading a Christmas themed novel (or the Nigel Slater book)

@Hetyanni how many points do I get for ‘just having a 👀 at the Emma Bridgewater sale...’ and somehow, I don’t know how it happened, several items* just falling into my basket!!

*two mugs, two biscuit plates and one serving plate. They will look so festive and lovely on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day/Boxing Day!🎄🎄🎄

FlipFlops4Me · 23/11/2021 15:50

22 but in my defence the paper and cards were bought last January in the sales (cheapskate). In the same vein I started buying pressies a couple of months ago - money is tight and I either save each month or buy something and put it away.

I am dearly fond of mince pies ....

I've got a gorgeous nutcracker serving plate from M&S! 8 points to you, 3 to me

OP posts:
HollyandIvyandAllThingsYule · 23/11/2021 16:47

Oh I love nutcrackers...We should extra points for that actually - would you believe, some people hate them! Xmas Shock

But I have to have some points deducted because I’m going to resolutely refuse to buy the two lovely nutcrackers I’ve seen. I don’t need them. I need them even less now that I’ve spent this months budget on crockery. Xmas Sad

KurtWildesChristmasNamechange · 23/11/2021 16:50

The Christmas mugs are in use and the jumpers are out and ready to be worn whenever the mood takes us.

iamtheoneandonlyyy · 23/11/2021 17:00

About 29. Can't be sure on the mince pies lol Grin

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 23/11/2021 17:02
