Very 'Ungrown up' gifts?

Love this section of MN. Xmas Smile Reading a lot of the threads, everyone is asking for (Apart from Lego!) very 'grown up' presents/present ideas. Like candles, face cream, scarfs, etc. Am I the only one with a very different type of gift? I'm 47 YO and I'm getting, amongst other things, Sims 4 expansions, The Simpsons lounge pants, A Harley Quinn graphic novel...Are any of you out there getting anything 'ungrown up?' Like any computer games for example?
Just curious really. Xmas Smile

I'm not very keen on receiving gifts but I'd love the WWF mountain gorilla adoption pack, complete with cuddly toy or even just a selection box.

I'm buying gems for an iPhone game for one adult in my family! (well, providing them the £20 to buy their own). And I may or may not buy myself some cartoon pyjamas for Christmas Eve.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 15/11/2021 00:52

I've asked for a kite. I haven't flown one in years and suddenly really really want to!

Crispynoodle · 15/11/2021 00:54

@Prokupatuscrakedatus

I am currently trying to talk me out of this
Oh my...
scrivette · 15/11/2021 03:50

@Thepoisonousmushroom it's Clara but I bought Rosie for my niece as I loved her boots too!

I have just remembered I also ordered myself a Playmobil Santa's Workshop Advent Calendar (my excuse was it was half price when ordering the DC's one!)

Magic the gathering commander decks and challenger decks

DaysLikeThis1 · 15/11/2021 05:58

I shall be getting a new mount, outfit or even a house (!!!) for my ElderScrolls assassin/thief, because she deserves it...

Namechangeforthis88 · 15/11/2021 06:59

@IthInkIsawahairbrushbackthere, that sound like the best idea. I need to figure out which friend I can do that with

Wetcappuccino · 15/11/2021 07:06

@Garriet

A plush Morris toy from the new Marvel movie Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings.
Oooh - where can you get those? Saw the film at the weekend and loved Morris!
Myonlysunshine123 · 15/11/2021 07:12

I get sylvanian families every year

TitsalinaBumSquash · 15/11/2021 07:24

I'm getting some grownup gifts like perfume and Lush, however I always get something for my Harry Potter collection (fingers crossed for a Firebolt replica) some Steam vouchers for my games and any of the Sims 4 kits I don't have.
Grown up gifts are boring! Grin

TitsalinaBumSquash · 15/11/2021 07:25

I would also like all the Lego Grin

DoctorWhoTardis · 15/11/2021 07:56

I asked for a needle felting kit, Harry Potter switch game and some new books.
I did ask for a carpet cleaner too though but mainly because I just want to play around with it 😂

Ah yes Clara is cool too. My 6 year old is obsessed with them and has asked for Rosie for Christmas!

cookiemonster2468 · 15/11/2021 08:04

I'm in my 30's, I have asked my partner for a Switch game and a Harry Potter T shirtGrin

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 15/11/2021 08:38

@Rockhopper81

🤣
of course!

this is a semi-permanent glue: keeps pieces together well enough so you can actually play (anything more annoying than like Death Star laser beams falling off every 2 seconds?🤬) but you can take the pieces apart again by soaking in warm water. it's perfect!

Toddleberry · 15/11/2021 08:46

Ooooh I love threads like this! I am a massive child, and feel that Christmas presents should always be toys - I remembered when I was little my mum wanted a hoover for Christmas and from that point I vowed I’d never grow up.

I really want the Jaina Proudmoore figurine as I am an avid world of Warcraft player. Will also accept Lego hogwarts or the weasleys house. Also very tempted to get 19 month old dd some sylvanian families that I can “help” with!

I want Wow vouchers but noone will buy them for me 😭 I'm 55.
DottyHarmer · 15/11/2021 08:58

Whoaaaa!!! The Lego Home Alone house that a pp mentioned…. Just took a look and would love that!

knackeredcat · 15/11/2021 09:00

I think I might want some of those original style My Little Ponies, just like the ones I used to have in the 80s Blush

Legoisawesome · 15/11/2021 09:00

Lego here :)
Also cute stationary and fidget toys 😂

My husband is getting paint for miniatures and robot supplies. Just a house full of big kids here really

Meruem · 15/11/2021 09:43

I’m getting the Lego police station. I already have assembly square, the carousel and a couple of big ninja go sets. The only problem is running out of space to display them! If I was rich I’d have a dedicated Lego room.

Cheaper things on my list are new colouring pens, a board game, a new jigsaw. Christmas isn’t fun if there’s nothing to play with Grin

My DC are both early 30’s and just the same. DS wants a hoodie from an anime he likes and a new board game. DD recently got a pet tarantula so she will get some gifts related to that. I also found some squid game stuff on Amazon (we’ve been watching it together and love it). So I’m getting DD some squid game fidget toys and DS is getting a small Lego type set of one of the games. I know it will make them laugh when they open them.

Rockhopper81 · 15/11/2021 10:09

@ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba - that glue actually sounds useful, it's so annoying when the little bits fall off (wing mirrors and headlights on the large vehicles are other common victims).

@Toddleberry - my youngest niece received her first Sylvanian families for her second birthday, just the figures to use in her dolls house. She loved them! Still uses them now at 4, plus it's an excuse to play with them too...of course they're all naked, because that's how all Sylvanian figures end up...

SallyCinnamon3009 · 15/11/2021 10:12

I'm (hopefully) getting a super mario game for my switch

SeeYouLaterAlf · 15/11/2021 10:13

I'm in my 60's.
Probably my best ever present was a couple of years ago when DH bought me a Switch with Zelda Breath of the Wild game.I have spent so many happy hours playing.
