Thanks @famousthehero for the title. I had no idea you could buy such things and I’m now imagining scores of children getting owl poo as a present for Christmas! They must be popular as they’re now out of stock 🤣.

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

@AlbertCampion Sass & Belle have a nice kids apron. I bought one a few years ago which was not personalised (but also 1/3 of this price so the printing bumps the cost!). But £10 for personalised seems not too bad.

We also have one from IKEA which is nice but not as cute as the cat…

@Jacopone

I have a query too. Perhaps someone can help. Request for a quirky shoulder bag for a teenager. With additional remark - surprise me, mum. No idea where to look.
Definitely Yoshi or irregular choice ❤️
Changingagain · 12/11/2021 13:30

Oh, thanks for the info on Mario Monopoly. I was considering the it rather than the original as DS likes the junior but is getting a bit bored of it. I thought it was the same but with different tiles, like the versions for different cities.

MerylSqueak · 12/11/2021 13:32

@Fuckingfuckssake could you get your Claire's item through Matalan? We have a Claire's inside our store.

sorryiasked · 12/11/2021 13:32

@Jacopone pretty little thing is worth looking at too, they've got some reductions at the moment.

@Jacopone - how about skinnydip? Also available on ASOS I think but their discount finished yesterday... pretty sure they'll have another one though.

Amazon Fire tablets - the kids ones is it worth buying of a regular one (then adding parent controls). I’d been looking for them to access music, educational apps and their borrow box app from the library - would it do all that? What sort of Black Friday prices should I expect? Thank you

Ps I also got the Gary M&S offer. I loved TT so feel quite sorry for him that no one wants to go and see him (ticket sales must be poor if doing an M&S offer). However, I will not be making use of my offer and would have much preferred the Percy pig blanket!

Fire tablets for kids - we had one a couple of years ago and I found it infuriating!! So fiddly to enable apps for kids, lots not available through the fire store. Kids interface was annoying to use - e.g. didn't autoplay next episodes, didn't show titles of apps so don't know what it is until you download it, can't lock favourite apps on the homescreen. Would really recommend getting a standard android tablet instead (Galaxy A is currently £119 - probably a bit more than a fire at black Friday places though). The £139 fire went down to £84.99 on prime day not long ago.
PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 12/11/2021 13:42

Does anybody have a tablet you connect to a bigger screen with a wire? (Rather than casting.) My DGM loves films but doesn't have WiFi — I'd like to have something we can download films onto from Prime or Disney+ at home then plug into her telly to watch them, but it sounds like some don't do that, and it isn't very obvious which ones do!

mytortoisemind · 12/11/2021 13:44

Boots currently have 3 for 2 on No 7 products and £10 off a £20 or over spend voucher that stack together. This was in-store. Sorry if already been mentioned, I haven't read the full thread!

crikeycrumbsblimey · 12/11/2021 13:45

For those of you have bought diffusers I got a couple of sets of Tisserand Oils to go with mine which were excellent value. I've never used to company before so wanted to check they arrived before I posted. I bought the pack of 6 but they also have packs of 3.

My sons laptop does that. It was just a “cheap” one

Or hot spot from a mobile with a good data package?

The ones we had wouldn't support the apps we needed - Seesaw / TTRockstars etc for school. I guess for little ones the Prime content might get OK but they are awfully clunky and laggy. We got Alba ones from argos for about £80 and they were work horses!

Loungefly?
PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 12/11/2021 14:04

It looks like you can't download on a laptop from Disney+. Sad That would work for Prime though.

You'd think using a wire would be easier than wireless casting, wouldn't you?!

@MalFunkshun

I’ve missed most of this thread due to starting back at work after mat leave this week, so apologies if this has been asked/answered - has anyone seen any good Paw Patrol bargains, impressive enough to be a Santa present? I thought I was done with the kids’ presents until my 6yo informed me she’d sent a letter to Santa on behalf of her 3yo sister asking for a Paw Patrol present..!
I definitely saw some big Paw Patrol toys in the Sainsburys sale event today- not too sure what they were as I don't have PP fan I didn't take much notice! (Think there was a big truck with the characters.)
PeachTea1 · 12/11/2021 14:17

Thanks @HopingForABetterYear - going to get a bubble tea kit from there for a friends daughter. Looks fab!

Newdad19 · 12/11/2021 14:17

@MalFunkshun Morrisons have a paw patrol set reduced to just £15 just now. Sainsburys also have a jungle truck for £30 - pics attached
@Mumof3loveschristmas I'm doing a hot chocolate bar this year, for the actual hot chocolate I will buy Nutella and some whittard of chelsea flavours as they do some unusual ones. I'm also getting toppings of marshmallows, toffee bits, mini chocolate chips, M&S colin sprinkles/christmas sprinkles, candy canes, Lindt truffles, pirouette cookies, whipped cream, dark chocolate syrup and caramel sauce.
This sounds lovely

tabbycat985 · 12/11/2021 14:26

I've just received a subscription box from this site www.littlefawnbox.co.uk
I used code SCDC5 & it gave me it for half price at £7.99
It would be a lovely token gift for a first time mum, I got two books, pram flash cards, a shampoo bar, a Rex London paper mobile & a tea bag.
Just need to remember to cancel the subscription!

Also if anyone has Disney+ check your emails. I received a code for free delivery from shopDisney, no minimum spend but one time use

Mumof3loveschristmas · 12/11/2021 14:31

@user1456915283 Sounds like my son is going to love making lots of different hot chocolate, thanks for the ideas.
