I usually start opening the chocolates, Christmassy goodies etc, when DC finish school for Xmas holidays. BUT, it means weeks of trying to resist temptation and we always end up with loads of it left by January.

When does everyone start tucking into theirs?

DS finishes school 22nd, we'll open something tasty then. The tree's going up on the 6th this year (we have a holiday).

If I bought anything now, then I'd eat it and be pig sick of Christmas food by 24th!

I’ve already started on the nuts so they will have to be restocked. Oh and we have been eating mince pies since they appeared in the supermarket, we get through about 8 mince pies a week each 😂

Chocolate wise I have already got in the Roses, Quality Street and Elizabeth Shaw and they will get opened on Christmas Eve.

Thankfully we aren’t massive chocolate fans but mince pies are a totally different ballgame 😂

Biscuits and Stollen from 1st advent or 1st December. Chocolates a bit at the 6th December as we celebrate St. Nikolaus but normally not until Christmas Eve.

Christmas Eve. DS and I go to a friend’s party every year and when we and dd get home we start! Although I think it will be earlier this year.

We buy the occasional box of mince pies to eat from now until Christmas. Our actual Christmas stash doesn't get eaten until from Christmas day onwards!

From when we put the tree up so around 1st Dec, I like the build up so like to make the most of it.
