If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

@Twonka links to the Dino volcano.

Dino volcano

And

Schleich volcano

These are prob not the best prices. But if you like them you can do a Camel Camel Camel or look on Toys and Learning.

Thank you for the hype code - I spotted DNephew wearing some stuff but too late for the code last time. Ordered some tshirts. Good to get something I'm pretty sure a teenager will appreciate cos they're so hard to buy for!

For anyone who missed it it's HYPE50 for 50% off.

Purpleheadgirl · 30/10/2021 20:56

Mountain warehouse is free delivery this weekend and can still use code extra20 to get another 20% off...even on clearance/ reduced items

Dreamingofwalden · 30/10/2021 20:58

On a different note. I remember lots of chat about S’mores on early threads - which I ignored. But it was my niece’s birthday this week and there were pictures of her having s’mores on the beach so now I’ve decided to make a S’mores hamper for Christmas. I had a look at the made up hampers and they seem expensive. I was in Waitrose today, bribing my toddler twins, when I spotted giant marshmallows for £2.39 so I grabbed a couple of packs. I was thinking giant buttons but am stuck on the biscuit bit. I lived in Canada for a bit when I was younger and we always used Graham crackers but what do people use here? Please help me wise ones!

Dreamingofwalden · 30/10/2021 21:00

Pic of marshmallows in case anyone else is interested.

I've signed up to Claire’s rewards but am still not seeing free delivery, had anyone got it to work please?

Rich Tea is our go to for s'mores.
Alwaysroomforcake · 30/10/2021 21:02

@Dreamingofwalden
I made up some packs for gifts a while ago and used digestives or chocolates digestives. Apprently they are the closest things to Graham crackers :)

RainbowPhilosophy · 30/10/2021 21:04

@ItsAllBlahBlahBlah

Thinking about lego now for DH. My DS has just started with lego (just had 4th birthday) and my DH is annoying me by taking over... He clearly needs his own!!

Is there a good starter lego set for a mid thirties man who can't share??

I just asked DH as he likes lego (and we also have a 4 year old DS) and he has recommended this car from Amazon which is currently reduced and has a voucher to apply too, making it just over £30.
dizzygirl1 · 30/10/2021 21:08

DS has just completed the car @rainbowphilosophy has linked.... it was a really good build. He's 12 and pretty good at building now! Definitely a good one.

So after finding and sharing the Museum Selection shop I've found another slightly quirky shop with some very unusual gifts at good prices.
*National Archives Shop

I particularly like this I Love You Morse code bracelet £20

Thank you!!! @Fuckingfuckssake and @Alwaysroomforcake that’s very helpful!!! I googled Graham crackers in this country but was not keen on the prices. I love this thread.

Shootingstar2018 · 30/10/2021 21:31

@kitchenhail

Does anyone have a 20% off over £50 at lakeland they don't want? I'm trying to buy an ooni koda.
I dont have a lakeland code but noticed dobbies have 20% off Oonis at the moment in case that helps: www.dobbies.com/ooni-koda-12-pizza-oven/5637163710.p
Fuckingfuckssake · 30/10/2021 21:33

@Dreamingofwalden I find Rich Tea have a higher structural integrity, digestives crumble under pressure IMO.

AlbertCampion · 30/10/2021 21:38

If anyone has puzzle-mad children, I've just found this puzzle book for £2 on Amazon. Looks like a good stocking filler.

Does anyone know if Smyths are doing a discount?

Also does anyone know when Dunelm run the 20% off discount? Thanks

inflatableseahorses · 30/10/2021 21:40

For a decadent take on s'mores, I recommend chocolate digestives. Use the bottom one the right way up and the top one upside down so you have biscuit/chocolate/marshmallow/chocolate/biscuit

I bought Graham crackers from Amazon but they're expensive. Since then we've used digestives but we found them too thick if you know what I mean. I preferred using biscoff biscuits personally
Beakerandbungle · 30/10/2021 21:47

@Dreamingofwalden I’d agree that I don’t think chocolate digestives have enough snap - but the I’ve never had Graham’s crackers Grin. If you want chocolate on the biscuit I think leibniz are the best ( and they have different flavours of chocolate now).

kitchenhail · 30/10/2021 21:49

@Shootingstar2018 thank you! I'd seen the dobbies offer but I can't check out for some reason, the website just says 'the request is blocked' whenever I try to check out. I'll have to hope the offer is still on on Monday and contact them.

Dreamingofwalden · 30/10/2021 22:02

Thanks @oatmilkisntsobad and @Beakerandbungle I think I will have to give a selection of biscuits and a score card and ask for feedback. Loving the s’mores chat. It’s bringing back happy memories. Smile

ThatIsHowTheLightGetsIn · 30/10/2021 22:11

@Dreamingofwalden I agree with @Beakerandbungle, the Bahlsen Liebniz are perfect for s'mores as the biscuit is sturdy and crisp and the choc is already attached so much less sliding around once you try to squidge a toasted marshmallow or three in, we like the dark choc ones. Wasn't there a few on here who bought personalised toasting forks for such gifts last year? Might be an idea for you

I hope the neom diffusers turn up from Next for those that managed to order, I see the listing has disappeared now, it was under clearance, beauty so I expect they only had low stock left
