If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

Oops ignore my last message for @2319inprogress ‘s find, I was reading and hugging a tired child.

Beakerandbungle · 30/10/2021 18:49

@dizzygirl1 - my DS also got that two years ago and it’s a brilliant set, one of the best technique vehicles and very robust as well.

Minionbums · 30/10/2021 18:49

Has anyone ever had the bakedin mug cakes? They’re 10.50 on Amazon for 3 boxes of 3, but an additional 15% off makes them about £8.90. I thought I could split them up into stocking fillers.

RainbowPhilosophy · 30/10/2021 18:58
@RainbowPhilosophy I’ve just clicked on the link and there’s a voucher box you can tick for an extra £5.70 off!!
Even better! I'm a bit jealous now. That'll teach me for being organised 🙄😁

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 30/10/2021 19:03

For anyone with Harry Potter fans to buy for, there was some lovely cauldron shaped initial mugs in Asda today. They were £4.75

@RainbowPhilosophy if you’ve got the funds not a given I know order it again with the code and return the full price one, bag that extra money off.

These mugs are beautiful, picked one up this afternoon for DD.
RainbowPhilosophy · 30/10/2021 19:41

@doctorboo it's too late to return now unfortunately. It's not the end of the world though - I'm sure the WHSmith bargains from these threads probably make up for the difference 😆

Dolphintrainer · 30/10/2021 19:48

@RainbowPhilosophy is it too late to go into your account and cancel the order? Then reorder with the discount

Kollamoolitumarellipawkyrollo · 30/10/2021 19:49

The Cotton Division (Amazon) HP Hedwig jumper arrived today and is really nice. Glad I sized up though if anyone else is thinking of buying. Was £5.29 and looks so much more expensive.

ItsAllBlahBlahBlah · 30/10/2021 20:05

Thinking about lego now for DH. My DS has just started with lego (just had 4th birthday) and my DH is annoying me by taking over... He clearly needs his own!!

Is there a good starter lego set for a mid thirties man who can't share??

Firsttimeposter121 · 30/10/2021 20:08

Are there any sports direct codes about?

Minionbums · 30/10/2021 20:09

@ItsAllBlahBlahBlah it depends what he’s into and your budget… the first set I bought my DH years ago was the Big Bang theory set, about £50 at the time I think. There’s all sorts out there though. Does he like Star Wars?

xmasturkey · 30/10/2021 20:10

@ItsAllBlahBlahBlah What is your Dh interested in. There is technic Lego, Star Wars, botanic and so on. I have gotten Dh Star Wars and botanic Lego because he is a Star Wars fan and likes gardening. There are many themes to choose from.

livingthegoodlife · 30/10/2021 20:22

@Minionbums I've bought those mug cakes. They come as 3 smaller boxes inside. If you split them further then it's just a clear plastic bag of mix. I haven't actually tried them yet but I've bought them as party bag fillers with £1 mugs from Matalan. I was hoping there would be printed sachets inside but there isn't. I'm photocopying the boxes and popping in mugs for cooking instructions/allergy info.

PoshWatchShitShoes · 30/10/2021 20:22

Late joining the thread this year, so sharing my first bargain...

Just bagged a massive Ninjago Lego set for £71!! It's usually £120.

LEGO 71756 NINJAGO Hydro Bounty Building Set, Submarine Toy with Kai and Nya Minifigures, Ninja Toys for Kids 9+ Years Old https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09843QX2C/ref=cmswwrcppapiglttfabc80ZS2CR3QKFQV09HGH4M??encoding=UTF8&psc=1

ItsAllBlahBlahBlah · 30/10/2021 20:25

Ah OK thanks, I guess some sort of racing car. He's not really big into star wars although would probably still enjoy making one of those fighter plane things. Off to trawl amazon for ideas!

Twonka · 30/10/2021 20:26

Thanks so much for the Harry Potter jumpers
They are all authentic HP products, my daughter is a taller 7.5 and fits the 8 nicely. I’ve bought several!! Absolute bargains

Pe-posting - search on the vendor and sort by price…

Sorry for multi posts!!

Minionbums · 30/10/2021 20:32

@livingthegoodlife that’s exactly what I wanted to know thank you Smile

Capure Goats milk soaps are on offer until midnight tomorrow for just £1.99 each. They are lovely soaps, fabulous for skin conditions and made in Yorkshire. I've just ordered some more :)
Also very reasonable postage I thought.

@Twonka

Present for a 5 year old boy.

We bought my DS5 a Yoto for his 5th birthday. It didn’t have the wow factor on the day but he has used it every day since.

My DSis bought him a Playmobil lorry which definitely had the wow factor. I can’t find the exact one but it was something like this. lorry

For Christmas we are getting him a Schleich Dino Research station which he has asked for. I also think the Playmobil Dino volcano looks cool if he likes dinos.

kitchenhail · 30/10/2021 20:42

Does anyone have a 20% off over £50 at lakeland they don't want? I'm trying to buy an ooni koda.

Ck91 · 30/10/2021 20:44

@Minionbums we’ve had the brownie mug cakes. They’re really nice! Vodafone do them once in a while and you just pay postage. They once did the brownie, sticky toffee pudding and cookie ones in a bundle, often it’s just brownie now. I wasn’t keen on the sticky toffee but my other half enjoyed it and we never got around to using the cookie one so I couldn’t offer an opinion on that one. They’re really simple to make too.
