Random one - I purchased Winston delivers Christmas (from WH Smith) after recommendations from last years thread...have I bought the wrong book/confused it with another one as I thought there was little activities to do at the end of each chapter and this one is just a story? I've bought it for that exact same reason too! I'll be sad if it's just a story and no activities. This is one of the items I've had to chase WHS on as it hasn't arrived yet and was dispatched last week.

@Yeknom Could you be confusing it with The Jolly Christmas Postman? That has little pull out bits and jigsaws and such throughout the book

Oh @Yeknom I think we've ordered the wrong one I've had a nosey on Amazon and it looks like picture attached is the one with activities. Gutted as I thought I'd bagged a bargain!

@MyPatronusIsAPenguin I got the Royal Mail notifications for the WHSmith parcels the day before they actually arrived each time. You should get another one tomorrow to say "we'll deliver it today".

That is the book @Yeknom but it must be a different version. Mine has activities but pretty sure it was more than the RRP on that one.

I've received two WH Smith parcels today. The full-priced book that I ordered for DH arrived in its own parcel, but the two sale bargain books I picked up are MIA. Everything else has come though.

Gaaaaah! I did think it was cheap!!! I'm going return it and get the other one when I see it for a bargain! We can all keep our eyes peeled together!

PS - love the jolly postman at Christmas too - in fact we have two copies! 🙈

@Yeknom the one we want dropped down to around £5/£6 on Amazon last year so worth keeping an eye out. I'll be returning my WHS one too, when it eventually turns up!

Yes, there are two versions of 'How Winston Delivered Christmas' - the cover with blue is the advent-type one, the cover that's mostly white is the chapter book version.

I think it's a chapter book of the same Winston story, I nearly ordered it but twigged just in time, they had the activities one in stock too a few days ago (I couldn't find it when I did my original order though)

Thanks but the thing I need isn't online so I'll have to pop in to the shop. It's a burger decoration that DS spotted today when we were in Matalan but I couldn't buy it as he still believes in Santa, age 8 bless him.
