If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

@DockOTheBay

What sort of age are Squishmallows popular with? Aldi have a really cute cinnamon bun one but not sure if its too young for niece 11 (nearly 12, year 7)
I'm on the hunt for the cinnamon bun for dds 13th birthday next month! Im hoping to wrap it up with the bargain cinnamon bun kit from the earlier threads!

She adores squishy and cuddly soft toys and these look like perfect cushions to lean on and for her bed. Even as an adult i would quite like one for my bed 😆

RainbowPhilosophy · 29/10/2021 17:26

Boo, my missing item (slime kit) from my WHSmith order has in fact been missed during packing despite being ticked off on the paperwork. They have refunded as they're now oos and I can't reorder. Shame about the kit as I'll need to buy something else to replace it but they sorted it out quickly at least.

CamdenLurker · 29/10/2021 17:45

@IggyAce

Not a bargain but the Fortnum & Mason Christmas book arrived today. Now to decide if I’m going to order some treats, any recommendations?
We get a F&M hamper every year from DH's work, we may just be cheap, but everything in them is no where near as good as the Christmas stuff from Aldi, OK maybe the raspberry jam and some of the biscuits are nice.

I do keep the wicker's though and have the whole collection Smile

xmasdealhunter · 29/10/2021 17:46

@sleepinglionsroar If you wanted ones that could be personalised then these might work?

Thats what I was thinking for niece too. Was also considering the Lush Cinnamon Bun Bubble Bar. Although not really a bargain, the baking kit was so cheap it makes up for it 😁

xmasdealhunter · 29/10/2021 17:49

@Greenhand M&S do them x

polkadotpjs · 29/10/2021 17:49

Anyone got a one off ASOS code? If needed I can sign up my husband but what a faff...

Trumpton · 29/10/2021 17:52

WHSmith order arrived. The box was soaking wet, the postman apologised, but luckily the two Sasse and Belle planters were fine. Even the boxes were ok . Phew.
The weather here has been dreadful but this box must have sat in some water to have been as sodden as it was.

Junobug · 29/10/2021 18:03

RE The Real Coffee Bag Company. They do a crazy discount (about 70%?) For new customers. They don't limit how much you buy on discount so I got my husband a good few months worth when he started a new job and he said he was impressed. He's a coffee snob so wouldn't have used them if he didn't like them. The packaging isn't as pretty as some others but a real bargin.

Minionbums · 29/10/2021 18:05

@CamdenLurker your DH must have a good job! I’d love a F&M wicker basket, I’d never ever get a hamper though, they’re just too expensive. I did, however, get a F&M Christmas pudding and festive tea from a Cats Protections table top sale, that’s the closest I’ll get Grin

Bryna · 29/10/2021 18:10

@PinkDaydreams have a look at the 'crayola widescreen light designer '
My DS has one and it works with dry erase type pens, you draw then back light the picture with statice or flashing lights

I've actually been trying to get rid of these two for so long that they are now out of date by a year! Pm me if you want them Brew not sure if tea goes off though.

@bigarse1 does your DS like cardboard boxes?? Could you wrap up a giant one for Christmas, it would bulk out his presents without costing much or how about a sensory blackout tent, especially good if he likes looking at lights or needs a space to retreat too! (Obviously no good for child who has a fear of the dark🤣)

Again, the tent could already be erect, so would be a 'big' present.

20-50% off everything at Oddballs (jazzy socks, underwear and accessories) and free delivery over £20

I've bought some snazzy pants for DHs stocking Grin

Minionbums · 29/10/2021 18:51

Thanks for the Oddballs post…. It’s not weird to buy matching underwear for me and DH, right?! Grin

Shootingstar2018 · 29/10/2021 18:52

Maybe a little specialised but for Triumph Motorbike fans the Triumph Factory Outlet have a further 50% off with code SPOOKY50. Just got some GTX gloves for £27.50. Normal price £110

Autumnleaves4 · 29/10/2021 18:53

Thank you all, I have finally taken the plunge and placed my spicery order. I have just posted my referral code for 10% off on the referral thread. What a bargain, 1/3 off, free postage and an extra 10% off, they also have a new meze legendary cook book!

Beautiful3 · 29/10/2021 18:54

@DockOTheBay my 12 year old (year 7) wanted a squishmallow, hers arrived today. I let her see it, to make sure it's what she wanted. Like you, I was concerned she'd think it was too babyish. But she absolutely loved it. Get a 20 inch one (50cm). Its perfect as a squishy pillow.

DockOTheBay · 29/10/2021 19:00

@Beautiful3 thank you! The 50cm ones are a bit out of our price range as its for my niece so we only usually spend about £20 :)

Autumnleaves4 · 29/10/2021 19:07

@bigarse1

Just wanted to say thanks so much for everyone's advice. I now have a list of things i can at least look for for my husband and have managed to order my little pony knickers! I have managed to have a chat to him today and we have worked out his chemo schedule in regards to Christmas and now know that he will be at his worst point where he is barely conscious and doesnt even know who is in the house. So today im going to make plans of the things the children think are important at Christmas and make sure I manage those things. Im not sure how the lunch is going to work as one children especially has to have 1-2-1 care at all times. I need to give that some thought but I think people have made me realise that it is all about comfort and being ok not presents. So i will keep my eyes out for bargain dvds, books, switch games for the children and sleeping headphones, nice snacks and subscriptions for my husband. Im going to do some social stories for the children so they know that it will be very different this year as daddy wont be having lunch or opening presents but i can show them all the things we can still do. so, sorry for huge post but just wanted to take a minute to say you are all lovely and very much appreciated! Any bargains on lottie dolls would be appreciated xx
When I had an eye operation and was bed bound and couldn't read, I loved listening to pre-recorded books. Particularly old classics that you could drift in and out of.

Also my children love picky bits, maybe you could buy lots of nice nibbles that just need heating up on a baking tray and everyone can just help themselves to finger food. No prep and no serving out. Have a Christmas dinner at New Year when DH is hopefully not at his worse,

Motherofplants · 29/10/2021 19:08

Please talk to me about LED lights. DD11 wants some for her room. She loves rainbows 🌈 so colourful is good. No Alexa so not fussed about syncing to music on that. Any good buys? How do you attach them to the wall etc? Thanks

EvilHerbivore · 29/10/2021 19:35

Spamhead421 · 29/10/2021 19:39
