If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

Someone many threads ago recommended a charity site for reusable fabric wrapping paper - if you’re still around can you post it again please? I had it open in my browser for ages and have lost it!

RJnomore1 · 28/10/2021 17:40

@MysticCT you’re better getting them in the 3 for 2 at full price (unless they’re still 3 for 2)?

So say 3 sets at £10 each for ease. 3 for 2 is £20. 25% off means each one is £7.50 so £22.50 for 3.

ThePurpleGirl · 28/10/2021 17:43

@MerylSqueak

I'm off to Home Bargains in a little while. They usually have Squishmallows. Can I look out for anything for anyone?
@MerylSqueak I've only just seen this far too late, but I don't suppose you noticed whether there were any dinosaurs or Caticorns at all? It's not a shop I ever go in so hadn't realised they would do squishmallows. What sort of price are they in there?
TheBigFish · 28/10/2021 17:46

I went to the entertainer today to pick up my starlink starter pack bargain for the switch mentioned on here a thread or two (or three?!) ago. The lady said did I have the weapons too and my heart sank as I really have no clue about this and thought oh no do I need to buy more stuff and will it now be really expensive?!

Anyway, turns out they aren't a complete necessity but a nice extra and they were reduced from 4.99 each to 50p each so I bought all 4! In case anyone also bought the starter pack bargain too. In total I bought 2 starlink starter packs and 4 weapons for £12 and it should have been £100!

@ThePurpleGirl I'm sorry I didn't check the price. When I've bought them before they were a good price.

@buckeejit Only white unicorn things I'm afraid.

If anyone has a spare birthday code for the entertainer, can you PM me please? I signed up with the three weeks to spare but still haven't had one yet. Have tried to message but no reply from them.

FrumpyMumsy · 28/10/2021 18:12

Hello, does anyone reckon I'll do better than the 10% off a Toniebox bundle they offer on their website for a first purchase?

Kicking myself for not buying from Smiths Hmm

IsThisIt2021 · 28/10/2021 18:23

Smiths have refunded me for Toniebox that was MIA. Apparently a ‘picking error at the warehouse’ and they don’t have any left in stock to send a replacement Hmm

toffeeshock · 28/10/2021 18:35

I don’t suppose anyone knows of a 15 or 20% off code that will work on ASOS on top of today’s automatic 20% off?

@bigarse1 just wanted to say please keep coming back to the thread and asking for any help, I really do feel it's what this thread is about. I don't know how you do your shopping but I've started dropping two or three things extra into the basket already (nibbles, crisps, nuts, mince pies etc) generally to take the stress out of the 'big shop'. I also prep all my veg doing one extra veg on a Sunday each week from now and cook from frozen on the day. I know your children have autism and it might be a big part of their day, but I moved Christmas dinner to Christmas Eve years ago and LOVE IT!!! We have the full dinner and then it leaves Christmas day for focussing on family, presents and games with lots of nibbles and cold meats etc. It also took all my stress away!

Minionbums · 28/10/2021 18:57

@user1466167893 I’ve been trying to convince my husband to do Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve for a couple of years! It feels very European. Plus, Christmas Eve is the best day of Christmas anyway!

@bigarse1 There are usually Amazon Lightening deals for Lottie dolls closer to Christmas - got 2 for around £15-16 each last year on different sales.

Freeekedout · 28/10/2021 19:15

Tesco Clubcard have some Switch games (Mario Kart, Animal Crossing) for £20 for delivery from tomorrow. I have a delivery coming tomorrow, but it says offer incomplete when I add it to the basket. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but worth keeping an eye out for it if you have a Nintendo fan!

Puffalicious · 28/10/2021 19:16

Anyone have intel on any Fortnite goodies anywhere? I've ordered bits and bobs this year and the quality varies enormously. Recently ordered a 'hoodie' and it's a long sleeved tshirt with hood and dodgy quality- and it wasn't that cheap! DS3 is Fortnite daft. He's after a Marshmellow tracksuit in particular, but any other merchandise would do.

Thanks.

Ruralretreating · 28/10/2021 19:30

@Puffalicious not hugely exciting goods but Asda have Fortnite socks, figures, duvet, cushion, and towel.

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/10/2021 19:35

Ack blooming allergies

Perfect! I will keep my eyes open. Thanks

SpamIAm · 28/10/2021 19:54

Lidl magazine for next week is out and still no sign of their wooden toys. Hmph.

Thank you. Yes I'm going to get a box and just buy a couple of bits each shop and pop in there.
Don't really have the room to freeze anything as we only have a tiny freezer but I'm thinking I can buy the ready chopped veg and the kids can help me put them in the saucepans.
Last year they only slept for an hour so I'm a tad worried as he will be too ill to do stockings or be up with them and I'm already doing the very long bedtimes. It sounds a bit like I'm making it up but I promise I'm not - two of them have sleep disorders and basically take a very long time to sleep and don't stay asleep! That's why books are always good presents as I read to them a lot as it's so calming.
Thank you for saying about coming back and posting. I was a bit worried about posting as it isn't really bargains if u know what I mean but u have all been super x

bigarse1 · 28/10/2021 19:57
@bigarse1 - last year we got frozen turkey joint and veg/roasties/pigs in blankets from Iceland as a back up plan incase covid restrictions meant we couldn't do our original plan (we ended up making it on New Years Day) but it is a simple option that is still Christmas if needs be
Thank you. I'm going to look and see what is around as I looked a few years ago but we have multiple allergies going on and nothing really worked.

Someaddedsugar · 28/10/2021 20:03

@bigarse1 💐 Please let us know if there are any other items you need help to find bargain prices for. Could you buy duplicate stockings so that you can pre-fill their stockings and hide them away, and then do a quick switch over at a point when they've managed to reach a deeper point in their sleep? Hope you're managing to find some time for yourself in all of this.

Someaddedsugar · 28/10/2021 20:06
